Cyberdrummer recently was gracious enough to offer lending a hand in completing the set list archive that I started some time ago.  The entire DT tourography is now memorialized in the child boards in the concerts/setlist section of the forum.

Big thanks to Cyberdrummer for taking this on.

That's pretty awesome! On the other hand (not trying to diss the insane amount of work it must have taken), wasn;t all of this available through MP's tourography? (with the obvious exception of every DT gig after he's left)

Yes, but:
1.  This is pretty much THE definitive DT fan site, so there's no reason we shouldn't have it available here.
2.  I initially started this shortly after Mike left DT because it wasn't clear he would keep it posted, and we were worried that it might disappear for good.  TJanuranus initially took up the rowing oar by copying the tourography on his website temporarily.  From there, I always intended for it to get copied here as well to make sure it never got lost, but it just took awhile (and an extra set of hands) to get it done.

Fantastic! :tup  I found myself accessing Mike's Tourography a lot and was also concerned about it going away and the fact that it didn't have the shows after he left.

It's good to hear that being a definitive source for DT is a goal for DTF.org.

Great job guys!

I've had this archived link that I've been using, but now I no longer need it!
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Wow! Thanks guys, thats a great resource to have.  Appreciate the hard work!  :tup

Someone PM'd me because they were concerned about "calling me out" publicly on this issue, but I'm fine with discussing it in public.  The question was basically:  "What about the discography?"  Yes, I know it hasn't been updated since Chaos In Motion.  And, yes, there are plans to update it.  But it is on an html webpage, not a forum webpage.  So that means someone with html skills (which I do not have) and time (which I do not have) has to do it.  :lol  It is definitely something I want to do eventually.  But it is a bit lower on the priority list right now for no other reason than the fact that it just has to be.

If someone gave me all the info, I'd do it, but I'm sure there are web coders with more professional experience on here.  :lol

?

:tup for this! The tourography is still on MP's website, but obviously it doesn't include the dates and setlists from the past few years, which makes this more comprehensive.

cyberdrummer

Just to add, my eventual aim is to format the earlier dates in the tourography so they match how I've been doing more recent setlists.

I'm willing to help with the Discography.  I'm a little light on my HTML skills but can help out where I can.  I'd certainly want it to be a collaborative effort because I know I'm not very good with look/feel artsy stuff.

bosk1

I appreciate all the offers to help with the discography.  Here's the main issue:  It was already huge when we compiled it in 2007 and 2008.  It is even bigger now.  But the problem is that the coding on the discography is corrupted, so the whole thing needs to be rewritten rather than simply added to.  That's why it looks different than the rest of the site--it is a link to an old, archived set of pages that are corrupted.  After the forum crash a few years back, it was a pretty good effort just to get those pages back for viewing.  Redoing them is going to be a huge task.

 Great work, cyberdrummer.

Sure, MP's site has one, but as bosky said, this is the definitive fansite, so it fits to have it here along with the discography and bio's etc.

Any way to not have the child boards appear as a huge list on the main forum page though? It's huge, and shifts everything way down. :lol
