Alright, this time I'm really REALLY not gonna listen. I said that with The Enemy Inside and totally lied, but two weeks is within my patience capacity. Plus, I feel a lot better being familiar with the second song of an album than being familiar with the penultimate song. When I'm on my first listen for an album, I like the last half to be the stuff that really makes it worth the wait.

I'm going to try and hold out. I don't really want to be familiar with more than one song going in (plus I haven't listened to TEI in full in weeks and only heard it 3 times, so that will only be semi-familiar when I first hear the album). I am interested in reading everyone's thoughts on it, but I won't be listening myself.

The situation (for me and several others) is that whenever the band has released singles or other songs, the songs get burned out way before the album is released, so when the release date finally comes one is not excited about listening to those songs, they just seem old.

I'm intrigued by this, but this is the second track off the album that I'll likely not be able to resist listening to before the whole thing is released. I hope it's really good, so I don't end up skipping it on the album. I kinda preferred the snippets they did for the last album, or the artwork. Whole songs? Almost too much.
