Seems to me like he still has all that muscle mass. He just looks like he's lost his stomach. Looks a lot more toned now if you ask me.

That's cause he's not on tour anymore, so he can eat really healthy instead of whatever they can find while they're on the road.

Yeah, but he didn't look THIS fit during the ADTOE recording sessions, in spite of having his tree-trunk arms at that point.

There is always a chance that he's not hitting the weights quite as hard.

I've always been a slender guy but I went through a period where I was hitting the gym 3 - 5 times a week for about five years. The fatigue did have an effect on my playing as my arms felt constantly worn out. It could be that. Not saying it is. Just that it could be. I know George Lynch said something along those lines which is why he scaled down the work outs. I'd imagine at JP's age that fatigue could be an issue.
