What is the pad/sound effect used on Illumination Theory's chorus?

Starting at 4:29 there's a kind of deep keyboard sound being played to create that epic sad sound while Labrie says "We seek to understand, we cry with hand in hand." Does anyone know what kind of patch or sound that is, or at least something similar?  I play guitar and drums and wanted to start a new project with a sound similar to that one.
