I don't think that's how preordering works.

That's how preorders on Amazon and other big retailers usually work: they don't process the payment until the order ships (at least for credit card orders).  But, smaller businesses usually charge you up front.

Rich, I'm a little confused by the wording. I've already placed my order, but I noticed it says preorders will be shipped as soon as they are in the warehouse, but the book will be officially published in September. Does that mean there is a chance that preorders might receive their books earlier than the official release date?

Yes. The official release date is September, but if they get to the warehouses sooner than that, they'll send them out before! It would only be a week or so at the most though.

I kind of forgot about the book since when it was released I wasnt as big of a fan as I am now, plus I didnt read much back then.  Now I read so much and this book is in paperback so I definitely want it.  Price seems fair too.  And new chapters!
