He's going to announce that Marco Minnemann is the new Jordan Rudess.

rumborak

The announcement will be that he decided to spell "huge" without an "h", as evidenced in the video.

?

I bet he will release an extended 30-minute version of the Bebot solo in AROP with the title The Brotherhood of Wizdom.

The only plausible explanation.

My dream announcement would be that DT's record label - finally - realised that last century's business model of releasing albums a few months after they are finished is over and the new album will be available for digital download as soon as it is finish.
Probably not going to happen in my lifetime, but one can still dream.

Kotowboy

Imagine being able to download the album the very second the file has exported from the mastering software.

It's not going to happen, people :D

It's probably a new band with him, Mangini, Petrucci, and Levin. It can be called Solid Friction Experiment.

I'd rather they be called "Shrodinger's Cat Experiment". They can do a Bon Jovi cover with a twist - Wanted Dead and Alive.

Th band can play in a box on stage and the audience will never know if they played the encore or not!

Or they could encapsule the audience in a box, have JP go killzone and then make bets on the life status of the crowd :D

Never sure if the slow handclap is an insult or not  :P

In this case, compliment, [Alert Lars Ulrich] was just great  :lol

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Could the announcement be a new solo album, maybe? It's been a while since his last one, if I recall correctly.

I'm currently unable to access dreamtheater.net due to some "application error", do you think they're doing something that is related to "Jordan's big thing"? The way he announced it made me think it was something related to his solo stuff but this got me thinking...

Edit: I was just able to access it and I didn't see anything that stood out. False alarm, maybe they're just having some technical issues. I don't know what I was expecting to be honest.  :D

Could be. We can just wait, cross fingers for something juicy and see!  :)

They wouldn't take the site down before posting an update anyway. It must have some connectivity issues at the moment though, because I can't access it either.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting just a news-post, I was thinking something bigger... like a new, cool feature or something like that. Anyways, seems as if it was just some technical issue.

Oh, cool. JR's finally releasing Explorations, as well as something new called Explores. Looks like he's got a custom kickstarter there, too. Pledging $10 gets you digital downloads of both albums, plus studio updates.

BlobVanDam

Maybe I'm just blind, but I can't figure out what the actual goal is. It has a percentage bar, but I can't find the amount. Can anyone else see it on there?

I can't figure out either, but my pledge was 500, and all of the other pledges combined with mine only bring it to 2%. I really hope that the DT fans come out in droves, even if just for the smaller pledges.

Surely some rich JR/DT fans will do the house concert  :lol

MrBoom_shack-a-lack

Hey if we all scramble together for the house concert we may have a private DTF concert at the horizon!  :hefdaddy

Wow, that would actually be really cool. I will gladly let you guys use my house. Now, all you guys have to do is find transportation and pledge the 10,000! You can thank me later  :P

Beat me to it. :caffeine:

From my current calculations (at 28 pledges), Jordan has roughly 2400 dollars pledged thus far.

At 3%, this would make the goal $80,000. That is quite a high amount, even for Jordan. I'm not sure if he will reach it, to be honest :( Please spread the word!

Perpetual Change

How much you gotta pledge to get the scoop on the DVD?
