I'm looking forward to hearing the ADTOE songs, especially my 3 favorites (BITS, BTS, BAI). Out of the old songs I'm most excited about Wait for Sleep, AFIL, 6:00 and PMU (I want to see how the crowd jumping up and down will look like on the DVD!). Oh, and These Walls, Surrounded, Metropolis and Caught in a Web too - damn, so many awesome songs! :lol

Like... the only song played on the concert setlist that I MUST see is BTS... I saw them 3 times during the ADTOE tour and that's the only ADTOE song I did NOT see :(

Just read from Spanish site rafabasa.com that according to Amazon Japan and EMP Spain release date is 7/26 and editions will include a double DVD or Blu–Ray with triple CD, plus a deluxe vinyl-like 12" box with Blu-Ray, 2 DVDs, 3 CDs and a "book" (it says "script" in Spanish, so my guess is that it may be a booklet or tour program replica); limited to 2.500 copies. Sounds much better than November.

Supposed tracklist:

   -Bridges in the Sky
   -6:00
   -The Dark Eternal Night
   -This is the Life
   -The Root of All Evil
   -Lost Not Forgotten
   -Drum Solo
   -A Fortune in Lies
   -The Silent Man
   -Beneath the Surface
   -Outcry
   -Keyboard Solo
   -Surrounded
   -On the Backs of Angels
   -War Inside My Head
-The Test that Stumped Them All
   -Guitar Solo
   -The Spirit Carries On
   -Breaking All Illusions
-Metropolis Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper

    Extras:

    -These Walls
-Build Me Up, Break Me Down
    -Caught in a Web
    -Wait for Sleep
    -Far From Heaven
    -Pull Me Under

Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri

At lease Jordan acknowledged the question. I suppose I can live with the July dates.

MP has writing credits for some of the tracks on the BluRay. Does someone here know whether an artist in this position gets a fixed percentage of the profit or if there is need to negotiate and agree on something?

No, not at all. The problem lies elsewhere.

sylvinception

Awesome tracklist - except "This is the life" which I don't like.

Not sure at all that "The Dark Eternal Night" is the best song from "Systematic Chaos"...

Not sure at all that anyone said it was.

Sorry, it's just disappointing that they have not chosen another song from this album!!

So the new release date is July...
A bit harsh for the fans. :yeahright

Mind that none of this date has been confirmed! July only seems the most logical one from our very incomplete point of view.

Sooooo.... what song is everyone looking forward to seeing live? One of the new ADToE? One of the classics that has never made it to DVD before? Or just intrigued to see MM put his spin on things?

All the above!

I was fortunate enough to see them on both U.S. legs, so I've gotten to see all of ADTOE live.  But I'm looking forward to re-experiencing them, especially Bridges In The Sky, Outcry, and BMU/BMD, which just slayed live.  And Beneath the Surface was really cool too.

As for non-ADTOE tracks, I'm looking forward to the following:
-Metropolis:  I know we have a bunch of versions, but it's still one of my top DT tracks, and they performed it very well with no frills during this tour.  It should be awesome.
-Wait For Sleep:  It will be nice to have a straightforward version of this.  It has always been a favorite.  (and having a version without Kevin Moore is a huge bonus in and of itself)
-CIAW:  I was bummed that we somehow never got this song in SF.  I don't like the studio version, mainly because Kev's out of tune sounding circus keyboard patch is one of the most annoying, grating sounds I have ever heard.  But live versions have always sounded much better in that department, and it's about time for a good version of this song to make it onto an official release.

I was kinda bummed that Forsaken and The Great Debate did not make a return.  I hope we get some bonus footage of these two songs from some other earlier shows.  (or that we at least get them on a subsequent YJR release)

Perpetual Change

I'm really pumped about it all, too. Unfortunately I was in Hong Kong for the entirely of the ADTOE cycle despite seeing DT three times on the previous cycle, and DT didn't really get anywhere close to Hong Kong.

From youtube clips I've seen from the tour, the stage show looked excellent and performances sounded mostly great.

bosk1

Yeah, I have to say, I think this was probably the best tour I have seen from them.  I think you'll love the DVD.

Kotowboy

So if the DVD mix is good enough - we could rip the audio for all the ADToE songs and listen to that instead of the actual CD

:p  For people who want a more drum heavy mix.

I live in Hong Kong and I went to Taipei to see them

The only other SC song they played during the ADTOE tour cycles was Forsaken AFAIK.

This is actually what I'm counting on.

AHEM  anyway, it's not a straightforward version because it has the string quartet.

Yep, but it will be nice to have a non-band version of WFS on DVD finally.

DebraKadabra

I LOVED the WFS version they played in Austin in October of 2011 - it was just Jordan and James.  Wow. :heart

Oh, I forgot about the string quartet.  That should be quite nice, actually, although like Deb, I really like the stripped down version they were doing on tour with just Jordan and James.

The mellow side with The Silent Man, Beneath The Surface, the rock side with These Walls and BMU,BMD and the epicness side with Outcry, BAI, TDEN and Metropolis.

Anyone else as excited as I am? Say  :yarr    ;D
