I'm hoping for *at least* 8 tracks like last time.

I find you get tired of albums quicker the lass tracks you have.

This is more appropriate in this thread...

DT12 is actually going to be a double album (Disc 1 and Disc 2), with one disc devoted to an entire 72 minute song divided into 12 sections (each section averages out to about 6 minutes each).
The second disc will consist of 11 individual songs, and one of them will be a two-part song, making each disc consist
of 12 tracks with 12 songs total.

Somewhere between those 24 tracks will be the instrumental.

Six Degrees was a double album, so it wouldn't surprise me if DT12 was a double album, if we're still crazy enough to believe in nuggetz.

Kotowboy

I actually think the next album should be TEH NUGGETZ because it's 5 + 8

BlackInk

I would like to believe that there will be at least one +15 song. It just feels like there will be.

Oh, well, it was good to believe in it for a second :)

Yeah, I'd like to see another epic, something that grows and constantly changes, like Metropolis, or ACOS, or 8V.

Kotowboy

And not like ANTR which is 16 minutes of the same thing more or less.

wasteland

The lenght of a song is immaterial. There is so much more stuff on the almost 10 minutes of Metropolis than in the 16 of ANTR, or even in the 23 of 8V.  :)

Kotowboy

If they ever did a song as perfect as Octavarium again then The length of it would not matter.

A song lasting 0 seconds is Immaterial

Lucidity

You know what I'd love? An album where every member of the band writes a song on their own, with no help from the others, so you can get a feel for all their different styles. Or maybe something like Fragile, where there are a bunch of tracks that highlight certain bandmembers.

That would be cool.

That's what all the women say, but when the time comes, they sing a very different tune.

You know that reality is immaterial?

Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri

This is not reality.

Hey, I was supposed to say that! :D

I LOVE using that word, seriously. (a war jet just skipped over my house. The sound  :omg: )

You may own a fork truck, but you've got to know how you drive it. :hat

So now we know the answers to 2 of the questions, namely that there will be Myung lyrics and an instrumental. Of course, there's always the possibility of there being more than 1 of these, but judging by their previous record, it's unlikely.

I wish the instrumental on the next album is crazier than before, maybe even crazier than TDoE. Like, putting a 4-limbs independence drum pattern and each limbs goes with different time signature. 11/8 on right hand, 19/16 on right foot, 7/8 on left hand, and 12/8 on left foot. I wish this will happen. And each different instrument follow different time signature. Who knows ?

If this really happen i will stop playing drums and be at the kitchen flippin' burgers.

That wouldn't even sound like music.
