I'm just curious how this album will differ in terms of sound from their previous works.
I think every DT album has a distinct sound, and something different about it, even if some people claim that the past few have all 'sounded the same'. So I'm curious as to what this one will be like.

^this. I don't think that the last few albums sounded the same, but BC&SL and SC both sounded similar to each other and, to a less extent, to ToT.

But it seems I'm struck with some sort of alzheimer , because I can't remember the last time JP used a 12 string acoustic guitar on a studio album. 

Anyway, can't say I'm less excited after seeing that photo.

But I think he has used 12-string on most albums, although usually just for layers of sound.
