The reprisal of This Dying Soul at the very beginning of The Root of All Evil, cuz.

It's in TROAE? I thought it was only reprised it TSF.

black_biff_stadler

It may not be heavy enough to be described as "chugga" in TRoAE's intro but the rhythm is there plain as day.

robwebster

In fairness, it does only repeat about six times.

You must know the bit, H. It's right at the start of the song! It's the drum bit. Duggaduggadug, dudug, dudug. It's pretty much the only bit played on instruments in the song's entire first minute, amidst all the vworping and footsteps.

Systematic Chaos was written before they signed with RR.

 How about reading all posts I've written about this. Stop saying this, I KNOW they wrote SC before they signed with RR.

Very interesting read. The WWRD policy was cool,I didn't even know they had that kind of policy. :P

Cedar redaC

I think that it's more of a fun rule than a major part of the decision making process.

Still, if I were to pick any one band to use as a guideline for my career, Rush would definitely be it.

That was a great interview. Re-signed to the label, vision for the album secured, Mangini writing, studio in January. Sounds great

It's great to see that the band members are conscious about the business dimension of their musical association, and try to get involved in first person. :)

That's a fantastic interview by JP. I'm glad they got their ducks in a roll for the next album!

Hotdog roll? Or more like a sushi roll? Or maybe a drum roll?
