Not sure how John's gonna top last year's iPhone and smoked ribs.  iPad mini, and a bear-steak?   :rollin

Thank you for the birthday wishes! It really means a lot to me. We've had no power for a week and it's so cold here. Thank God John is home because I'd have been "Lost Without Him". (Sorry, lol)  Our whole town has been devastated by fallen trees and power lines. Houses and cars have been crushed and roads are closed everywhere. There's no gas and many still don't have power after a week. People have lost their homes, it's just crazy. Thanks to some good friends and family, we've managed okay and our power was restored tonight so all is well, but there are many less fortunate than us. I finally had a chance to visit the forum and it was so nice to see this. It really warmed my heart.  :heart

Happy belated Birthday Rena! Sorry to hear about storm, but good to see that you and John are OK.

Wow Rena!  That has to be scary as hell.  Not a great way to spend a birthday .  Hopefully you escaped without too much damage, and I can only imagine the relief to have power back.  I went without heat one December day, and the house got down to the mid-50s.  Going without total power has to be even scarier.

Hopefully things get back to normal for everyone in the region.

My thoughts and prayers are going out to ALL of you up there.  Hang in, stay strong, and know that life WILL go back to normal.

What Debra said, my thoughts have really went out to East Coasters these past few days. Also, nice to know Rena is not immune to the DT fan disease of inserting song name nuggets in her posts
