I thought you were talking purely about the lyrics.
The song itself, I can't really compare them. It depends on what mood I'm in. Obviously, I'm not going to listen to Hallelujah if I'm in the mood for something more upbeat, something faster and more Metal.
But if I had to compare Hallelujah to a slow, more acoustic driven song, I'd take The Answer Lies Within, Through Her Eyes or Hollow Years, over Hallelujah.

Okay, I officially have no clue where you're coming from. So to avoid further (obviously) pointless discussion about this, I'l call it quits.

I only care about lyrics that can be easily heard in the song and flow well with the music.  If I'm curious about lyrics that I can't hear that well, then I read them.  The meaning of the lyrics is irrelavant to my enjoyment of the song.  I am a fan of music, not literature.  However, if the lyrics speak to me in a certain or personal way, then that will enhance my enjoyment of the song, but only if I think the music is good to begin with.  IMO, music is more universal than words.  The music is what it is and you either like it or you don't.  Words, on the other hand can be misinterpreted, taken out of context and may not be understood the way the writer intended.
