Share a couple moments from the live albums that you always laugh at.
My fav is when James goes "out of my mind" in SDV (LSFNY) he does this funny tone and looks derpy :D

Ruba

I don't remember Space-Dye Vest having said line.

Not necessarily funny, but one of my fave live DVD moments is from Score.  When About to Crash starts, the main chord hits, and the look on James' face is like "fuck yeah bitches.  How fucking cool is this with the orchestra and all!"

Oh, and <insert obligatory James wipe out from Bucharest DVD, and JP lying down>

I'm also a fan of JR's beard from the Romavarium fan club DVD.

in Official Bootleg Old Bridge, New Jersey 12/14/96 , The Mirror.

MP shout out "Hypocrite" and even JLB cant stop laughing

Ruba

^The shout itself isn't funny, but JLB's reaction made me lol.

NickySpanjaards

That is not James laughing, that is his voice cracking up because of the food poisoning. I heard it on some more songs of bootlegs around that time.

Strange deja vu. Whatever. I was expecting someone to say that ._. I also really like "AHHHHHHHH" at the start of Bombay Windaloo.

I didn't know cracking voice sounds like laughing.

Anyway, there are many but when I think the first thing came to my mind is from LSFNY, James' line at the end of the concert.

"Sorry for the short set"

At what point through the song does this happen?

EDIT: Found it.  :lol

Octavaripolis

On the LSFNY dvd JLB enters a really weird stance at the beginning of Strange Deja Vu, it looks like he is going to start humping his crotch towards the audience... Always cracks me up, hahahaha!   :yarr

This sounds like a song!  :lol

I have to add L@B documentary's Japanese crowd. Not a live moment but still a honorable mention. Always crack me up.

Metropolis Pt-1, during second half at LSFNY.

Cyclopssss

There are a couple on that outtakes cd from the fanclub of the SFAM tour (2000/2001?)....including the 'Canadian Rap', man I hadn't laughed so loud in ages when I heard all that nonsense...

:rollin :rollin :rollin. My favourite is the part, where JLB tries interrupt MP at his "Suck on my ass and balls"-binge. Also that "I don't remember that being on Images and Words" is hilarious  :lol.

Cyclopssss

Or the part in The Spirit Carries On, where all of a sudden he blurts outs out of tune: 'After wé're gooonnnee....there'll be pizza later' (or something to the effect). The entire band stops playing. and he says: 'holy fuck....how's that for an atmosphere breaker?'  :mehlin

You got it a bit wrong, it's not James who does that, it's JP, of all people! It sounds like James but it isn't. I think he said something like "it's a football game." And James himself laughed and said "holy fuck, so much for putting feeling into it huh?" :D I call that whole tune "JP and MP trying to make JLB laugh", because, with the exception of Canadian Rap, that's what it mostly is.

I also heard a version of a slow song, in the late 90's (but before Scenes I believe), I think it was TSM, where before the last chorus MP says something and JLB laughs and also mentions the ruined atmosphere. I have been hoping to run into it again ever since, because it's pissing me off that I forgot the name and the recording :D

I heard they said this because their inner ear monitors were picking up different signals and one of them was a football game.  So instead of hearing themselves playing, they were in the midst of the grid iron.

Not sure if thats true.

MoraWintersoul

Well that would explain why JP would troll his own song :lol it was really funny, anyway.

Cyclopssss

You got that absolutely correct, Mora. Didn't notice it was JP, though. That whole Glasgow gig must have been crazy...

chknptpie

Well it isn't an album, but from one of the shows I've seen it made me crack up...

"This one is from Systematic fucking Chaos".

I might have heard this. I will take action to locate and retrieve the source.

wolfandwolfandwolf

Not a live album, but I really love the "gag reel" track that's floating around out there.

(ASS AND BALLS!) HOW COULD YOU BE SO CRUEL

Also, God in Billy Clinton.

But on the albums I have a hard time not cracking up every time I hear Forsaken on CiM.
