Which is saying quite a bit. I mean, all in all, if this is how it is now, and to say that it wasn't like this during the previous tour, or the past few tours before that... It's really a good thing that MP is not around anymore. I'm not hating on MP, but clearly the other band members are happier without him around.

The mood seems lighter overall, the joy of playing is back.  The two or three hours each night when they're playing is always great, but the rest of the day and night, how will it be spent?  Laughing and chilling with guys you love, or wondering what kind of mood the one guy's gonna be in, or whether you should just stay away from him today.  I was in a band like that once, and that's how it got to be before it finally self-destructed.

Yes but most people don't write emails in word. If you were to write it in a browser, for instance, it'd at most tell you which words it didn't recognize.

It's apt that today I start off by reading this message and now I feel like a pile of melted person, I had to come back to it. It's just... it's a sort of a generic message, but they took the time to write it, to let us know they're still thinking of us even though they're now on holidays, and the little phrases that just stand out with warmth and are so heartfelt make me smile... JLB's "who I once was" and his family "keeping me grounded and focused", JP's fond remembering of events and thanking his guitar tech for "always having my back", JMX's brevity and "stay healthy", Jordan's stressing importance of "making new friends" and seeing us "ON THE ROAD" and that incredibly well composed message, as well composed as his interview answers (which always inspire me because I can't believe they're all premeditated so how is it possible to always be so well-composed?) from MM which I can't help but read in his voice... it's all so wonderful.

Very cool and very classy.  This is so great to see, the whole band speaking out and connecting with the fans like this.  Makes it feel like a real band again.

Thanks for posting this Spacebar. Dream Theater are in a league of their own and a  cut above every other band in every way. Loved reading their messages and I just cannot wait to see what they come up with on the next record.

It's awesome that they did this.  Funny thing is, the part that stands out to me the most.  Not only does JP quote Neil Peart, but he quotes a song from Hold Your Fire.
