The European setlists have been smoking, no question.

And how about that Opeth setlist?   :metal

Change AROP with One last time and Wither, and there you have it.  ;D

lah_hannibal

Yeah, nice one definitly!
I'll head to Düsseldorf in a few minutes and see what we get there today....hopefully no Erotomania/Voices...;-)

Fuck yeah, Düsseldorf was awesome!!!

Set:
1. A Nightmare to remember
2. The Mirror
3. The Lie
4. Wither
5. Prophets of War
6. The Dance of Eternity
7. One Last Time
8. In the Name of God
-----------------------
9. The Count of Tuscany

TdoE & OLT was absolutely perfect.....Nightmare is a great opener and there couldn't be a better closer than The Count....just a great Setlist!

GuineaPig

Take out Prophets of War and throw in Take the Time, and you have easily the best set all tour.

That being said, this has gotta be up there among the best.

cyberdrummer

Yeah, this is pretty much the set I'd like to see in London.

Mladen

Düsseldorf is the best one of the Progressive nations in Europe so far. Without a doubt.

I hate Prophets of War, but I would complain if I got it in that set.  Wow!

Good except for PoW.  Stockholm is still winning the Euro setlist battle.

Ultimetalhead

Are they doing The Mirror and Lie in their entirety, or are they doing the cut from LSFNY?

Judging from the video I've seen, they might do it completely.

So the Paris show should be finished within an hour. I really hope they played both The Mirror/Lie and Erotomania/Voices.

perfey

Yeah, that would be a cool threat if they play both combos to celebrate Awake, but either one of 'em is good on their own.

Nick

For the record, no setlist with The Mirror/Lie as opposed to Erotomania/Voices can be the best on the tour.

Jamariquay

According to MP.com, they played:

A Nightmare to Remember
The Mirror
Lie
A Rite of Passage
Wither
The Dance of Eternity
In The Name of God

The Count of Tuscany

GuineaPig

Honestly, I would not want to see TDOE if I wasn't promised OLT afterwards.

Believe it or not, there are actually people who do not care for One Last Time.

I am not one of these people.

niether am I.

I mean, I prefer One Last Time, but my biggest issue would just be what a cock tease that has to be live. I have not heard it yet, and the show I saw where they played TDoE they played OLT, but just imagine...

GuineaPig

Third time this tour, if I remember correctly.

Seriously though, I think it's even worse than playing Overture 1928 but not Strange Deja Vu.

For some reason, that one poster's metaphor for Burning My Soul '96 just came to mind:

"It's like having sex with a really hot chick, and right before she comes, you pull out and batter her repeatedly with a big bag of rocks."

Really?

Maybe because I very very rarely listen to the studio version of SFAM I never expect One Last Time after TDOE. I always expect the LSFNY ending.

I agree! Both songs are meant to be together imo...the way how they go into OLT is just perfect!

This. Hearing The Mirror/Lie instead of Erotomania/Voices would be the most horrible setlist ever. Replacing two of my favorite all time DT songs with what are hands down my two least favorite...

2Timer

I think it's a pretty cool move that they're playing The Mirror/Lie instead of Erotomania/Voices; technically, the latter are the best songs (IMO), but for one thing, I don't think they've ever played The Mirror/Lie nearly enough, and they've played the hell out of Erotomania/Voices over the years, and to be honest, I feel half cheated when they do that and they don't play TSM.

Nick

Well, I fully agree that they've underplayed some things, which is why they should just be playing Lifting Shadows Off a Dream.
