Just got back from the MD show. Setlist as best I can remember, not necessarily in order:

A Nightmare To Remember
Prophets Of War
Sacrificed Sons
A Rite Of Passage
The Dance Of Eternity
One Last Time
Solitary Shell (extended jam)
In The Name Of God
-------------------
The Count Of Tuscany
Interesting set list, all great songs, but there is nothing before Scenes from a memory. Weird... But I would still watch this set list anytime.
I could be mistaken, but I believe that this could be the first time this has ever happened.
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

No, I recall a show in 98 accomplishing the same feat :neverusethis:

I know what you meant, and it was funny.

What I meant was that I think it was the first time since they had Jordan in the band that they performed no pre-Jordan music.

TAC

Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Oh yeah, the text messaging thing was hella fun between acts. Despite it being an outdoor venue, I really liked the atmosphere and especially the staff of this place. Very welcoming and friendly. Also, after DT's set, the PA played "A Rite Of Thriller." I was hoping they'd follow that with "Never Gonna Wither You Up" though. :D

BlobVanDam

:lol Awesome. I remember last tour they played The Dark Intergalactic Night remix. Good that they're keeping that up, especially with the higher potential for remixes this time around. Hopefully they'll add more as DT discover them.

Disappear

Well seeing as you're close with the band, maybe you can tell MP about the Rick Astley one. One of his forum members made it (neilomac). :P

perfey

Nice reviews, I enjoyed reading them. Cool to see ITNOG played too!, awesome that they've resurrected it.

Interesting, but they have a short set so whatever, cool set list anyway.

Yeah, it wasn't till the car ride home that I realized they had played nothing from the Moore/Sherinian era, no complaints, but certainly surprising.

perfectchaos180

Yeah 3rd time seeing them (all the last 3 times they have been in the dc area) and I still havent seen any Awake :(

DarkLord_Lalinc

YESSSSSSSSSSS! Whoever said that one of the Schmedley songs should be brought in full, made a wish that came true.  :hat

Nick

It really made my friend at the Baltimore show happy. He's a big fan of their heavier stuff, especially Train of Thought. The last show he had seen with me was Score, and of course the song played there from the album was the shortest and the only soft song, and that was really his only complaint about the show.

So fast forward to this show he had asked me not to say anything about possible setlists so I was happy I didn't have to disappoint him by saying that they haven't played anything from the album on this leg yet...

So then DT surprises me and plays the longest song on the album, I really felt as tho they were making it up to my friend who was at the Score show. :lol

Prophets of War, Sacrificed Sons, and In The Name of God???

I'm surprised the Great Debate wasn't played, too :lol

I think last night's concert was the best set of the tour so far.  I have not seen any of those songs live in person so I want that for NYC or NJ.

They're just building up for Space Dye-Vest  :D

kefka

just finished watching the miami show and it reminded me of two things from last night:

1) JP and MP's vocals were much better mixed last night... watching TCOT from miami, they're all but unheard on the choruses, making JLB's harmonies sound odd (even though he hit them spot on).  last night, their vocals made the chorus sound much closer to the album vocals.

2) JP gave us an Octavarium lean-back at the end of his solo in TCOT just before the ambient part.  crowd went absolutely nuts.

fyi, the Wallingford show is at the Chevrolet Theatre and no the Oakdale.

Smile in my pants at those setlists.  Would completely appreciate that being the case in Toronto in 10 days.
