According to Kerry from VoicesUK, Jordan isn't playing an iPhone, it's an iPod Touch!

Well yeah.  Imagine if he got a call during the middle of AROP.  That would be embarrassing.  And hilarious.  Especially if his ringtone is Speedway Boulevard.

Yet another outing for Panic Attack? As far as stuff from Octavarium it's way overplayed, and I really hope this is the last leg we see it on. It's not that I dislike it or favor all the other songs over it, it's just that it has gotten an uneven amount of play.

I like Panic Attack. It's a fun live song. I don't think they'll play it for the North American PN because they played it on the headlining tour for CiM. (of course, I assume they'll change their setlists a bit for Progressive Nation)

everything here. i doubt we'll see it after europe.

GuineaPig

Well, we've only seen it on the two "first time" dates.  My inkling is that MP thinks, rightfully, that it is a fairly popular DT song (thanks in part, no doubt, to Rock Band) and deserves to be played to fans on a first visit to that country.  Also, it helps that it's short because it fits well into a "cover the bases" type of setlist.

Also it's a good live song.

This to the extreme.  This and Never Enough got played too much on the last tour.  C'mon MP, where's These Walls?  Just because you have a song in Rock Band doesn't mean you play it every night, or else we'd be seeing a LOT more PMU.

ariich

So far this tour we've had PMU more than Panic Attack.

True, once in Moscow (1st time), once for DL, and once for the first show of the tour.  Those, at least to me, are more like special occasions.  I really just want to see These Walls after seeing a majority of SC tour setlists contain Panic Attack.

TAC

I'd actually be shocked if These Walls was not played on PN09.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

1. Pull Me Under
2. Constant Motion
3. A Rite of Passage
4. Hollow Years (extended)
5. Metropolis, Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper (extended)

Wtf? Only 5 songs?

TAC

They only has a 50 minute time slot, and I think they actually played for 46-47.

And if they started on time it would have been more...

perfey

Yeah, I hope for These Walls as well, but Panic Attack is a good (live) song so I don't complain.

Nick

Although These Walls is the song from Octavarium that got the least play thus far, and it's the song from the last... 3 or 4 albums that I've not seen live that I want to, that's not really my beef, it's just that Panic Attack gets overplayed. I think it's the only song that got played starting on Gigantour, and on every leg through the Octavarium and Chaos tours.

Panic Attack is the least of my worries. If they keep playing Constant Motion even after the new stuff is in, I'm going to be one  :sadpanda:

They played very early?

Nick

I just checked the tourography, and the only leg that didn't get Panic Attack was the 5 show Asian leg on the Octavarium tour. Every other leg including the start of the European festivals in support of Octavarium have gotten the song in varying doses.

Surely it's got more play than TALW?

I think that one got played at Score, that show where they played all of Octavarium, and maybe one more.

Not complaining, mind.

Nick

Really? I thought I remember TALW being commonplace on the main American leg of the Octavarium tour, perhaps not. Either way, These Walls needs more play.

ariich

Nope Jamiroquay is right. There was definitely those two shows (Score and Romavarium) but I think that was it, though there might have been one more.

The Answer Lies Within was only played twice to my recollection.  I saw them play it in Anaheim.  These Walls was played a bunch of times.  I saw it twice at back to back shows:  Los Angeles and San Francisco.  JP's silhoutte bass did not come across well on this song, very muddy.  Good song though.

hefdaddy42

The Answer Lies Within was only played a handful of times, and rightfully so.  It was a total waste of time at Score.  These Walls should be played more.

TALW was only played because they had the orchestra, so they played that song on the DVD while it could sound it's best. But These Walls deserves a lot more play than it gets. Incredible song, and a much better live song than TALW.
