Samsara

I have no idea what the band is thinking, but if picking one tune from each record, this would be what I'd like:

WDADU - Ytsejam
I&W - Another Day
Awake - Space Dye Vest (I know, I know...if you make me choose another, it'd be Lie)
FII - Anna Lee
SFAM - Overture 1928/Strange Deja Vu (counts as one in my book)
Six Degrees - About to Crash
ToT - In the Name of God
Octavarium - Panic Attack
Systematic - Constant Motion (I really don't like the record, so this is the most tolerable to me)
Black Clouds - A Right of Passage
ADToE - Bridges in the Sky (what an incredible show opener it was!)
My books available for purchase on Amazon:

Jason Slater: For the Sake of Supposing
Roads to Madness: The Touring History of Queensrÿche (1981-1997)

WDADU - The Killing Hand - It would be great to have a more recent version that James just nails.
I&W - Learning To Live - It's just time for it to come back now.
Awake - The Mirror and Lie.  I was bummed they played this combo overseas, but not here lats tour.
FII - Peruvian Skies or Anna Lee
SFAM - Eh.  Love it, but I'm not anxious to see it again live.  If anything, I guess maybe Home.
Six Degrees - Misunderstood
ToT - In the Name of God
Octavarium - none.  We have most of it represented live already now.
Systematic - This album can have a rest now.
Black Clouds - A Nightmare To Remember!!!
ADToE - Since they played it all, it can take a rest, too.  But they'll probably play OTBOA.

Samsara

Chalk up another vote for Anna Lee and for The Mirror and Lie. In fact, I'm changing my choices to match.

I agree.  They've played the heck out of it.

They played I&W faaar more than any other album this last tour. They played every song except for Take the Time (although Another Day was only played once).

1. "The Glass Prison" - 14 min. (SDOIT)
2. "Burning My Soul" - 6 min. (FIF)

5. "Erotomania" - 7 min. (Awake)
6. "Voices" - 10 min. (Awake)
7. "The Silent Man" - 4 min. (Awake)
8. "Overture 1928" - 4 min. (SFAM)
9. "Strange Déjà Vu" - 5 min. (SFAM)
10. "Wither" - 5 min. (BC&SL)

*INTERMISSION*
12. "Bridges in the Sky" - 11 min. (ADTOE)
13. "The Ytse Jam" - 6 min. (WDADU)
14. "Hollow Years" - 6 min. (FIF)
15. "Vacant" - 3 min. (ToT)
16. "Stream of Consciousness" - 11 min. (ToT)
17. "The Count of Tuscany" - 19 min. (BC&SL)

19. "Learning to Live" - 11 min. (I&W)
ENCORE:
20. "Octavarium" - 24 min. (Octavarium)

3 hours, 1 minute. I would love to see this.

The only album I don't have represented is SC. Honestly, I kind of hope they don't play any songs from that album. If I had to choose one, probably ITPOE, Pts. 1 and 2.

If they truly are doing "An Evening With" next year AND they have the new album out too, then you can probably swap out "TCOT, The Ytse Jam, Wither, and ITNOG for an extra 45 minutes to play songs from the new album.

obscure

WDADU - Afterlife
I&W - Learning To Live
Awake - The Mirror & Lie
FII - Lines in the Sand
SFAM - Finally Free
Six Degrees - Misunderstood
ToT - Honor Thy Father
Octavarium - The Root of All Evil or Sacrificed Sons
Systematic - "In the Presence of Enemies - Part II
Black Clouds - A Nightmare To Remember
ADToE - Beneath the Surface  (Yesss. Because I last saw them right before the release.. only heard OTBOA live )

CrimsonE

Interesting question:

WDADU:  Afterlife
I&W:  Learning to Live--was on the European gigs pre ADTOE release, so I can see them bringing this one back
Awake:  Mirror/Lie--I can see them bringing this back as a dual set
FII:  Trial of Tears or Just Let Me Breathe
SFAM:  Beyond this Life
6 Degrees:  Glass Prison or 6 Degrees (About To Crash 2--Finale)
ToT:  In the Name of God
8VM:  Sacrificed Sons or Never Enough
SC:  Constant Motion or Ministry of Lost Souls
Black Clouds:  Rite of Passage
ADToE:  This is the Life--they didn't have it on the 1st US leg, and I'd love to see it live.  But I can also see them bringing back OTBOA,

I can also see the band putting together another medley a la Schmedley Wilcox--perhaps this one with album openers instead of album closers.  If they bring back the "Evening With" shows on the next tour, I wouldn't be surprised to see A Change of Seasons make its return, either in full or as part of a medley.

BTW, I don't know if Honor My Father made any of the rotations of the 8VM tour but I saw them play it in Chicago during Giagantour, and it was amazing.

WDADU: nothing
I&W: Take the time
Awake: Lifting shadows off a dream
Falling into infinity: Trial of tears
SFAM: Overture 1928 / Strange deja vu
SDOIT: About to crash
ToT: Maybe like a medley or something, the songs are too damn long
Octavarium: I walk beside you
Systematic chaos: Prophets of war
Black clouds: Wither
ADTOE: Build me up, break me down

WDADU: Afterlife
I&W: Take the Time, Another Day
Awake: Innocence Faded
FII: YNM, Anna Lee/Speak to Me
SFAM: Overture 1928, Strange Deja Vu, One Last Time
SDOIT: The Glass Prison, Misunderstood
ToT: Honor Thy Father
Octavarium: TALW/I Walk Beside You
Systematic Chaos: ITPOE Pt. 1
BC&SL: Wither
ADTOE: LNF

Most of all, I'd like to see improvisational parts; Extended jams when introducing and/or ending a song.
Also, something like Wrecktropolis, something that's also fun both for the band and the fans.
Of course, if they ever bring back The Dance of Instrumentals or even half of it...   :hefdaddy

WDADU - None
I&W - Wait For Sleep
Awake - The Silent Man
FII - Hollow Years
SFAM - Through Her Eyes
SDIOT - Goodnight Kiss
ToT - Vacant
8VM - The Answer Lies Within
SC - Repentance
BCSL - Wither
ADTOE - Beneath The Surface

This assumes however that they'll take a 15 year hiatus and come back with walkers and oxygen tanks. They'll need to go easy...

I just don't think TBOT would be performed very well. In my opinion, it's a very studio-fitted song. It's a great song on the record but I can only imagine it being a disappointment in concert.

When Dream and Day Unite - Only A Matter of Time
Images and Words - Another Day
Awake - Lifting Shadows Off A Dream
Falling Into Infinity - Hell's Kitchen and Lines in the Sand
Scenes From A Memory - Finally Free (so Mangini can go crazy at the end)
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence - Disappear and About to Crash (Reprise)>Losing Time
Train of Thought - This Dying Soul or Vacant
Octavarium - Sacrificed Sons
Systematic Chaos - Forsaken or The Ministry of Lost Souls
Black Clouds and Silver Linings - would like The Count of Tuscany, but probably Wither
A Dramatic Turn of Events - This Is The Life or Outcry

I was just thinking about how they might play Lie on the next tour, today. And I could echo the rest of your post too, with the exception of "I hope" for TOT :P

wasteland

Well, I never hid my mild dislike for the album, you know that well enough. If one song has to be chosen among the 2003 lot, I would go for Scent Of Carbonite. If no other instrumental is played, I think they will need to give James a bit of a break in the middle of the set to keep his performance consistent throughout the whole show. This was achieved this tour through the acoustic break, but I don't think that they will still do something like that on a regular basis.

It would be cool if they did though. We shall wait and see. It cannot come fast enough :corn

I see them doing an acoustic leg this next tour or the following one, but as part of a special acoustic DT event, not to strictly promote the new album. Just in order to preventing the format to getting worn out over constant playing in two consecutive tour cycles.

Well, I thought it would be a nice song somewhere in the middle. Not everything has to be grandiose, almost symphonic stuff.

wasteland

I agree with ATC being a good song to throw in somewhere in the setlist. Besides, it's not being played regularly since 2005.

You know which is the regular DT song (no b-sides or omitted tracks and the song that have never been played) that hasn't been played the longest? You Not Me.

Well, it IS the only song to have been played 3 times. How times was You Or Me played?
