My suggestion is to keep the medleys between 6 - 8 minutes in length.  35 minutes is just waaay too long.

I agree with RTK - medleys are meant to be short.  If it clocks in at 35 minutes, I'd rather just put the album on.

I think Medleys have an art to them of which sections to choose, transitions and so forth. If you just mix up every part of an album you like, it's just a crazy edit. Not a real medley.

Thanks for the con. crit. guys, I appreciate it. I probably will keep making them quite long (like the Stream of Instrumentals), but I plan to make shorter ones in the future.

Just so you all know, my initial plans were to make these lengthy instrumedleys to challenge my drumming ability.

Seriously, there's no reason for a medley to be of this length.  Getting the "gist" of ToT in 5-10 minutes could be a very interesting listen, but after listening for 4 minutes I just heard the beginnings of As I Am, In the Name of God, and Honor Thy Father pasted together.

Yeah its good but way too long, just feels like listening to chunks of each song rather than a proper medley. I think Images and Words could work really well though as a shorter medley, similar to ToT the album retains a tone most of the way throughout so word work pretty well

I've been experimenting with some DT stuff and decided to make some medleys, and I'd like to share them with you when they're released. I'm hoping to do an instrumedley for each album, as well as doing one for each DT decade. Your views, shares and feedback is much obliged guys, so enjoy!
