Hi. I don´t usually post here, but when I do:

"Over the Edge Productions: Trailer is done and delivered and out of our hands... I'm told its being released soon. If I had to guess... Late next week. Hope you enjoy it!"

Taken from OTE facebook.  :corn

Thanks for this information, and I suppose welcome again to the forum :)

The excitement level is rising  :metal

Hopefully it won't be a 20 seconds trailer but at least half of a verse from some shorter song, or maybe Mangini's playful drumming from Lost not forgotten.....  :xbones

Fiery Winds

I'm really curious what the bonus features will be, and hope the trailer sheds some light on them.

Sry to dissappoint you but^^

DarkLord_Lalinc

It's on On the Edge's facebook page. Just look it up.

philmcson

I think we can conclude that OTE have finished production, can't we?! And that the trailer should be accompanied by an official release date and some info about the DVD.....   ;)

MoraWintersoul

Well I for one hope it's a proper trailer and not a teaser.

Anyway, thanks OTE! They are dealing with the most impatient fanbase in the world and they haven't told us to go to hell so far :lol

Lolwut?

Do you mean to say the trailer is on their Facebook or just information about it? I quickly looked at the page but didn't see anything.

cyberdrummer

It's a comment on some completely unrelated link.

I'm probably a few months late to the party but regarding some posts in the last page mentioning a commentary; I'd love one, though honestly without MP it's gonna go kinda like...
*James being goofy*
*Awkward silence*
*JP mentioning something ironic that happened during the last tour*
*Guys talking about how MP used to do this and that, and how they played in Buenos Aires before or something*
*Awkward silence*
*...Awkward silence*

*......................Awkward silence*
JLB: "Hey John, what did you play there?"
JM: "............Bass."

Uhmmmm, not necessarily true, the fun factor will be cut down, but I'd say, referring to their comments in the TSCO documentary, they'd know how to make a serious commentary. But there wouldn't be that much laughter, unless MM comes up with some anecdotes or funny thoughts..... however, one should be fully aware of the fact that there are certain qualities that are gone (forever?) with the departure of MP..... imo!

And yes, if they're gonna mention MP during the commentary, I can totally hear JLB and JM sighing and some kind of nostalgic tone in JP's voice  :lol

MoraWintersoul

My favorite lines in all their commentaries are mostly delivered by JLB, JP or JR so I don't think not having MP will be that much of an issue when it comes to entertainment value. However, MP provided a lot of the useful info and tidbits (when they weren't stuck talking musical stuff like on LSFNY) so I don't know who could do that. Maybe JR. Certainly not JLB, with his constant absent-mindedness :lol

philmcson

JM will provide. I think the guy has seen so much in his life and is silent just because certain people are paying him shitloads of money to keep his mouth shut about certain things. Once he starts to speak, they'll all be doomed......

ResultsMayVary

If its a proper trailer, I expect the trailer to be several minutes long and to feature snippets from interviews, snippets of the performance, and other cool little things to tease the upcoming live CD/DVD/BR.

They haven't done a commentary in nine years. I think the events of the preceding nine years probably provides more than enough material for the guys to chat about things for two or three hours. Just because MP was the one who said a lot of the factual stuff in previous DVDs doesn't mean the other guys know nothing about DT history--JP and JM have been in the band from day one and James and Jordan are doing a lot of the behind the scenes PR stuff post-MP, so they're taking initiative there. And, as we all know, MM is quite loquacious. The dude could probably spend the entire commentary answering one question.

But then we would need a dedicated camera to monitor MM's face expressions during the commentary

Hahahaha, neither do I  :lol

I was thinking about him being some kind of next Lemmy, like, having seen Sodom and Gomorrah on the musical scene, for instance ludicrous scenes in DT's backstage (JP and MP having a bromance? JLB and MP being good friends even after Mike's departure? MM calling MP and asking for advice on how to play that certain fill during Wait for sleep? We'll never know! Allegedly MP isn't releasing DVD after DVD to pay his bills but to pay protection money. To JM).  :censored

Oh yeah, I should be clearer there, I don't think they're uncapable of talking history and talking about the band, it seems that everyone thinks the other guys are mute just because MP was the one that talked the most and it pisses me off sometimes :rollin but he did speak in a really streamlined, directed way and always seemed to have in mind what will be interesting for us to know so I was wondering who replicate that exact role.

Most liley James. He always looked, and especially so of late, the one most deeply in touch with the fan's thougts and ideas and feelings.

I would guess that the "roles" would change a lot in general. I would guess that with the old commentaries, MP probably let everybody know he was going to be the "moderator" of discussions, and they were fine with that. Without him around, I would think everybody would take on a bit more of an equal share and the discussion would be a little bit less directed, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

Or maybe they'll just designate one member to do that sort of thing--your guess is as good as mine as to who it'd be, though it obviously would be JMX or MM.

Also, I knew my paying attention to JP's shirt was important, as I don't think this one is from the Argentina shows: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=452031608188806&set=a.452030961522204.103217.135021603223143&type=1&theater

Possible bonus material - something from the rehearsals or some other show? I know JP wore this shirt in Berlin on the Euro tour but not the jeans and the sneakers  I'll have to do a major search in the ADTOE tour pictures I guess.

wasteland

Most likely reharsals, I say. I don't remember him ever wearing those kind of jeans on stage before or during this tour.

That's the first thing I thought too when I saw that picture. Perhaps a rehearsal, or even a stage tour/rig rundown thing. Who knows? I just want them to take the DVD out of that can they were talking about and put it on my doorstep.

JM: It depends on what you mean.  The instrument or the specific model?

*Everyone laughs*

JM: ....Well, no...which one were you referring to?

*Everyone laughs*

JM:  Ummm, bass.

............

JLB: Dude, we're talking about the model.  We know you play a fucking bass.

JP: James, settle down man.

JR: Don't talk to James that way.

MM: Guys, treat each other with RESPECT!
