Is the "Another World" section from ACOS DT's greatest four minutes ever?

I am going with Option 2. It is hard to definitively say what four minute section/song is their best ever, but Another World is definitely on the short list. It is awesomeness personified.

Ending of The Count Of Tuscany. Intro is the greatest three minutes ever.

Another World is up there too, but I'd probably favour the first four minutes or last four minutes of the song. The Crimson Sunrise / Sunset are amazing.

I'd agree but I have to go with option 2 as well.

But if we talk about Live Scenes where James completely slays it, that's the most powerful 4 minute vocal show I've ever heard. Seriously!

ACoS is my favorite song by anyone, but I can't place Another World over Darkest of Winters or Crimson Sunset (the former perhaps because it's so damn fun to play.)

It's a great section but not my favourite though! It's not my favourite but one example is the "Someone like him" section in Octavarium! That is absolutly beautiful to me both lyric and music wise and also the amazing guitar outro in Razor's Edge that he totally slays on Chaos In Motion! Every time he bends that last note i swear if that string would break the earth would most likely implode!

No. The last four minutes of the Stream of Consciousness, perhaps, I don't know for sure. But Another World is great.

Heretic in ITPOE is longer than four minutes, so that doesn't count.

Razor's Edge is great, but would NOT be in the conversation for me, which is a testament to how much great music Dream Theater has when a section that good wouldn't even be considered by a longtime fan like me.
