We've had two people in this thread discuss my dislike of it, and all I did was list it without any further elaboration. That is where the rep comes from. Other people seem to never miss an opportunity to mention my dislike of it, whether I participate or not.

Not really.  Loved almost all of FII, all of SFAM, almost all of 6DOIT and IAW and ADTOE.  I love their individual talents - these guys are more skilled than a lot of other musicians.  I just don't always like the songs they create and I'm really not a fan of JLB's voice (You'll notice a lot of the songs I don't like are ballads).

And I've never heard Raw Dog.

Didn't mean to step on anyone's foot with that comment, but if you're going to be a snob about it then let me clear that up, no I didn't mean it like that. I actually like songs like Constant Motion and TDEN that are "out of their usual box" like you say. I find that BMUBMD is a cheesy commercial nu metal like song and I don't like it. I am surprised that more people don't like it because I feel that it goes against a lot of what DT represents, but I have no problem with anyone that likes it at all. I think the chorus is really catchy but the rest of the song is just a sloppy mess in my opinion and is really the only DT song that I truly dislike.

Fair enough, my apologies for getting defensive and crossing the line by saying you were being snobby about it.

But I agree with the above posters... not quite sure how you could make such an enormous list of DT songs you don't like so easily, it was really tough for me and I had to really think for a while just to find 10 songs (Non WDADU because honestly I still haven't listened to the full album, I'm still a DT newbie ) Even the few songs I don't care for by DT have at least one thing I like in the song (like the chorus in BMUBMD as I said before, very catchy and powerful imo, it's just the rest of the song that I don't really care for). That being said I'd listen to BMUBMD any day of the week over a lot of music like dubstep that I'd rather bang my head against a wall than listen to...

I hovered over Lost Not Forgotten. It's basically fine, but it suffers from the same flaws I'd accuse Home of having. Stupendous intro, but the  rest of the song never quite lives up to it. Like Home, it's perfectly solid, with some good melodies, and nothing particularly offensive, but it just doesn't quite do it for me.

The best bits, too, are very Glass Moonly. Which is fine - I think it's pretty cool, actually - but it ultimately just makes me want to listen to Under a Glass Moon.

In the end, though, I do enjoy it too much to put it in my bottom ten. But it's not a song I'd look forward to live, particularly. A teeny bit of a hurdle.

It doesn't kill it for me, I like the little allusions - always have, through Images and Words, Awake, Octavarium - but Under a Glass Moon is probably top ten for me on a good day, certainly top twenty, whereas Lost Not Forgotten feels a little more bloated and has a little less spirit, so it's a comparison that doesn't really do it many favours, sadly.

Perfectly fine when I'm in the right mood, though. Same goes for Home. Very few DT songs I genuinely dislike.

Same here. I don't think there's a single bad Dream Theater song. There are just some that aren't quite as awesome as others. But they're still awesome.
