Awake or A Dramatic Turn of Events - Part II

Okay, now that the new car smell is off of ADTOE, let's see how this poll goes this time around.  ADTOE narrowly won the poll last year when it was done shortly after its release, so should be interesting to see if the voting is any different this time around.

Awake gets my vote, of course.

Yeah, it may be that I've spun Awake so many damn times that I'm tired of it as an album, but ADTOE still kicks my ass.

Anywho, Awake is my favorite DT album and ADTOE seems flat and uninspired. So I went with Awake.

first time around I voted ADTOE. This time... Awake. Although ADTOE is still the best album since SFAM/SDOIT (can't decide which one)

When I'm in the mood for Dream Theater's trademarked brand - crazy, fun, and light-hearted -, I'm more likely to listen to ADTOE. When I'm in no particular mood and just want good music, I'm more likely to listen to Awake. For that reason, I'll vote for the latter.

Regarding this poll as a whole: It wouldn't surprise me if ADTOE won again, if only because it's more representative of Dream Theater's sound as a whole. It's more appealing to the average fan than Awake in a lot of ways.

I still choose ADTOE. Even though Awake has grown in my eyes since ADTOE came out, and the hype of ADTOE came down. So they're a lot closer now, but I still think ADTOE is better.

I would have voted for Awake were it not for Space-Dye Vest, which is the only song on both albums that I skip.  Awake would have been perfect had it ended with Scarred IMO but...

Anyhoo, I voted for ADToE, since it is the best DT album IMO since Awake.

I have to go with ADTOE, it edged into my top 3 albums after release and has only gotten better with age.

These are two VERY close albums for me. I'm leaning slightly towards Awake as being the better full album, but ADTOE has slightly better individual songs than Awake does.

ADTOE, easily. It's my favourite DT album so it naturally won, however Awake is still amazing and sits at my #5 spot.
