Awesome solo section. I love how it gets more intense as it progresses.Moore really shines and there are some cool drumming.Such underrated jam/improv.

Love Petrucci's Al Di Meola influenced playing. He was a better player when he incorporated more jazz fusion influences IMO.

I love it. It was onl that it was never on an official release or demo that I didn't include it in my own top 50, elsewise it would have.

Live At The Marquee was an official release. But yeah, it was never on an official studio album.

Love this song! It was a helluva pleasant surprised when I get the Marquee live CD (back when I still actually would buy the occasional live CD).

The best part is shortly after the 5-minute mark. The way the guitar solo goes back into the riffing and then the keyboard solo slowly comes in while the guitar slowly fades into the background is pure awesomeness. So many of their back to back guitar and keys solo sections are like, flick, they hit a switch and the other instrument takes over the lead in an overtly obvious way (like, HERE I AM!), but the way they blended the two together there like that while one slowly faded while the other slowly came in is something I'd love to see them do more of.

Well, yeah, for some reason I never count live releases as 'official releases'

I did included Eve, Raise the Knife and Another Won when I did mine. Eve was on The Silent Man, and the other two were demos. I never really cared for live releases anyway, expect when they are called Coma Divine.

If you wanted to count Guitar's Practicing Musicians Volume 3, it's on that. But it's the Live at the Marquee version too.

Absolutely fantastic track, from the man screaming at the beginning to JP's solo - which really reminded me of Alex Lifeson's La Villa Strangiato, where he builds it up into a frenzy.
So much colour to the playing, emotion and pure craziness. What gets me is still how fresh it all sounds.
