In this interview JLB lets us know he is now in charge of the live library of recordings, and that the two Luna Park dates in August are to be filmed.

The fact that it's James who takes care of Ytse Jam now is at least three different kinds of awesome. I love that man.

Sketchy

Wait, JLB is the YJ master now?

SWEET.

tristl

Jlb , i want a baby, no hundreds of babys from you :heart :metal

YJR is his owwnnnn nnnnoooooowwwww.

I'm guessing MP gave up Ytsejam? Either way, I'm sure both DVDs are gonna be awesome.

Does that make MP the dark master?

Sketchy

Well, I guess JLB doesn't fight for him any longer.

The interesting thing is that it was that the old stuff was never brought up. From what I understood is that the boots were taken from this past couple of year's touring with Mangini on board.

ZKX-2099

Looking forward to some good official... pirated material.

Sketchy

I should have seen that pun coming.

But if it's released by an official band-endorsed source, it's not really piracy, but then it's being handled by JLB, so how can it not be...argh my head hurts with trying to logic that.

:metal I'll be there

Two pieces of great news there. Thanks for posting, when can we expect the full interview, cheers.

Im hoping to get it done at the end of the weekend! Cause like i said on the other thread, im one of the admin of dreamtheater.com.ve (a venezuelan fansite), and our priority is to release the interview with subs, and making the subs is such a pain in the ass!

But im working on it!

MoraWintersoul

Watching this for the tenth time today. I'm a sucker for JLB's "anticipating the question"-facial expression, and also his "oh yeah, absolutely"-s.

TheOutlawXanadu

Oh. My. God.

They're filming the DVD in South America? In a venue that holds 14,000 people? Amazing!

If nothing else, the crowd trying to sing along to the riffs is going to be GLORIOUS.

TheGreatPretender

Yeah, it's awesome to hear that he's taking care of it. But better yet, if the actually website stays open, that means that I won't miss out on the older material that I have yet to purchase. I was worried it would shut down and things like WDADRU and Making of SFAM would become collector's items unavailable anywhere.

Speaking of which, just ordered both of those, finally. Can't wait!

I actually kind of hate that, to be honest. I mean, I'm sure being there and singing along with them, or being DT on stage and hearing it from the crowd is awesome. But watching something like that on a DVD kind of annoys me.

Scorpion

That's really cool that YJR is continuing. I'm in the same boat as TGP, so I'd have been pretty sad if it had been shut down.

So there is a good chance we will get lots of different songs that won't appear on the officially official live album.

They didn't mention old stuff (because I think Mike kept all of that) but how cool would that be to get a "Making of ADTOE" CD?  Maybe thats in the works too.

DebraKadabra

Looking forward to the whole interview, but that's good news that Ytse Jam will keep on keeping on. :metal
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri

That wouldn't surprise me. Jordan films a lot of stuff and it wouldn't surprise me if he did something like that.

Or maybe the complete Drummer Auditions? That would be so awesome.

I actually kind of don't like it either, but listening to the ATTEMPTS at some parts will be hilarious to hear. Sometimes I wish crowds would leave that stuff to Rock In Rio, you're never gonna do better than those audiences.

I'd love to hear them sing along to the tickle section.  :rollin

Nekov

I can't remember if it was even attempted when they were here in other tours. Maybe with one of the riffs of ITNOG but I think that's it. It's really hard to pull that off with DT songs.

TheGreatPretender

I was just surprised to see the Americans do that with ACOS on LSFNY. Why did they have to go and do that?

Nekov

Cause it's fun. It makes you feel part of the show, and I'm sure bands appreciate crowds involvement in the show

Pelata

Cool...I just picked up a few YtseJam titles so I'm glad it's going to continue.

Yes, well, like I said, as a viewer of the DVD, it's annoying as hell. I sing along to the actual words of the songs, that's more than enough to make me feel like a part of the show.
