One of my favourite parts in this song is the beginning of Jordan's solo. Everytime it kicks in, I feel like I've been lifted by the keyboard patch he uses. I NEED to see this live, but I probably won't ever see it unless they play it on future tours (which is always likely).

Jordan Rudess himself commented on that video!  :D

Having watched that video, and knowing that they're playing the song this time around, I have been listening to it a lot lately and have really come to appreciate it a lot more.  I mean, I always liked it, but I rank it in the bottom 3 on the album.  But while I still probably rank it at #7, my appreciation of the song has increased significantly over the past couple of weeks.

I thought the reason they couldn't play it on the first tour was because of the tickle section being fucking ridiculously difficult to pull off in a full-band setting. I have to admit, that's the part I'm most looking forward to seeing on the whole damned show. :caffeine:

I worry about This is the Life being a bit of a bore, but the guitar solo should be pretty neat, at least.

I love this song and am looking forward to hearing it live tonight! :metal1

I really hope LNF and TITL don't make it onto the DVD.  Easily my least favorites from ADTOE.

wow...just wow....

Playing the pre-recorded vocal parts is so unnecessary.  Would much rather prefer a stripped down version without the background vocals.  I want to hear a live performance not freaking Memorex.  Don't care for any band doing this be it DT, Rush, Yes whoever.

I kind of agree, but if it is used in limited fashion and only when absolutely necessary I won't object.

i might be one of the few who has LNF as #1 on ADTOE, just beating BAI. love it. Still don't know what to expect at the second NY show this tour, but I hope it's on the setlist

I'd rank LNF very highly, maybe just behind BITS, or tied. But for me it's easily one of the best on the album. :tup

You don't care for ADTOE that much, do you, Blob (correct me if I'm wrong)? So that doesn't have to mean that much...

I think it's a solid album, I just rank it fairly low among the rest, so I certainly don't mean my remark as a detriment to the rest of the album at all. Aside from Outcry, I like everything on the album.

Oh okay. I remember you saying that you didn't like ADTOE that much, but I wasn't sure. Hence my question.

I like when JLB is about to get up, but JP is pushing him back down.

That's not only one of my favourite parts in the song, it's one of my favourite parts in DT history. It deserve a better surrounding though. The whole solo is amazing.

Speaking of Outcry, mrs.snapple just heard it the other day (where she was actually listening) and the instrumental section blew her mind. She's quite the skilled pianist and is very musicially smart. She didn't see that part coming and I guess it just caught her off guard.
