This is easy for me

As I Am
Lost Not Forgotten (already confirmed from another thread  :tdwn)
Sacrificed Sons
Build me up, Break me down

ResultsMayVary

I hate to burst your bubble, but LNF made the cut.

For me, it's rather easy:

Build Me Up, Break Me Down
Anna Lee
Anything from WDADU except Ytse Jam or A Fortune In Lies

Other than that, I couldn't care less what they played.

SeRoX

As I Am. And maybe I can add BMUBMD but it somehow sounds too great live.

jcmistat

Implode

I hope they don't play Forsaken.

Other than that I'll enjoy any song.

Tis BOOLsheet

Forsaken
These Walls
Anything from BC&SL except Nightmare
BMUBMD
6:00
Anna Lee

...just to name a few

Elite

I don't really care, since this is an American tour, but I wouldn't want to see Burning My Soul, Just Let Me Breathe, The Dance of Eternity, In The Name of God, Panic Attack and anything off of BC&SL, save Wither.

I wasnt a fan of BMUBMD before seeing it live, now I love it.

I think Surrounded should be out of there. Same with 6:00.

The Letter M

Any song that has been played so far on this tour that has yet to be released on an officially released video (so "6:00" should stay, but songs like "Forsaken" can go).

-Marc.

darkshade

Non-DT songs
Medleys
Certain songs off WDADU and FII (the lesser liked ones)

Otherwise, I'm cool with just about any song they play.

Jamariquay

Hm.

Another Day
Their acoustic set (though I suppose it'll probably make it into the DVD. I dunno, just never seemed appealing to me. If you're going to play either The Silent Man or Wait For Sleep, I'd rather they be included with Erotomania / Voices or Learning To Live, respectively)
War Inside My Head / The Test That Stumped Them All (though since they haven't played this in the US yet, I suppose it's a lock. My least favorite bits from Six Degrees though).
I Walk Beside You, The Answer Lies Within
Forsaken, The Ministry Of Lost Souls
A Rite Of Passage

I'm sure they'll make a good set though.

This list exactly. I like a lot of their covers but I would always prefer to hear another DT song instead. And medley's just seem kinda lame to me. DT has such good songwriting that splicing together chunks of different songs defeats the purpose.

And yeah, I don't care much for WDADU.

Not that this matters for me because they're not playing anywhere close to me on this leg.

Isn't 6:00 on Five Years in a Livetime?

Is it? It might be, but FYIAL is a very different type of live video release. Besides, MP (if he chose the sets for the past 3 live releases) had slowly begun re-releasing newer versions of many of the songs released on FYIAL/OIALT.

No.

EDIT: Wait a second....yes it is.

Unfortunately, it's only on the video, and not the accompanying CD Once In A LIVEtime. As I mentioned earlier, nearly all of the songs on OIALT have been re-released on subsequent live albums (LFSNY, LAB, SCORE and CIM). The only ones that haven't include:
"Ytse Jam" (not including it's inclusion in the "Instrumedley")
"Take Away My Pain"
"Caught In A Web" (not counting the medley "Caught In A New Millennium)
"Lie"
"Peruvian Skies"

And of those five, three have been played on the ADTOE tour, so it's a possibility that they'll get included in an upcoming live release (be it video or audio).

1neeto

Prophets of war. I.hate.that.song.
BMUBMD
Wither
Forsaken
Honor thy father
Take the time
Anything from FII except Hell's Kitchen

BlobVanDam

I'm fine with almost anything, as long as I haven't seen it live before. Just avoid WDADU, since I don't even count that as real DT, and skip the last half hour of Awake, because I truly don't think I could endure being stuck listening to it.
Aside from that, pretty much all of it goes down pretty well live, even the stuff I don't often go out of my way to listen to. :tup

Ruba

Voices (because they've played it enough and could bring in another Awake song)
Disappear
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
As I Am
I Walk Beside You
Constant Motion
Wither
Build Me Up, Break Me Down
Lost Not Forgotten (if Under a Glass Moon is in the set)

Lowdz

TDEN- We got it on the European tour and I don't want to have to skip even one track ont he proposed dvd. The only DT song I actively dislike.

wolfking

I would be happy if they just came to Australia.   :( :'(

TAC

Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Shadow2222

PMU - It has been in the set for every DT show I've been to (granted, I've only been to two so far, but still...)

BMU, BMD - Good song, but I've seen it and really have no interest to see it again.

BITS - Once again, only because I've already seen it, and want to be surprised with a new opener on this upcoming tour leg.

Endless Sacrifice - Great song, but drags slightly live.

WIMH/TTTSTA - WIMH is really good, but TTTSTA is not that good (when played outside of Six Degrees).

Ultimetalhead

The only song I don't really care to see again is The Great Debate (too long. 13 minutes could be dedicated to something else like oh I dunno THE GLASS PRISON).

Other than that, I just feel privileged to be seeing them.

KevShmev

I just hope, now that Portnoy is out of the band, that the band doesn't get too hung up on trying to not include songs in the set list that have been on live DVDs before.  Make a great set list, and if a few of the songs have been on previous live DVDs, who cares?

Word! Although, there's still a lot of great songs that haven't been on DVDs for a while, if at all. A couple of which have been played on this tour - so here's hoping!

I'd always rather see 6:00 than another rendition of The Spirit Carries On, for instance. Or These Walls than As I Am. So, I would say there's a balance to be struck.

Pinga

They should drop Forsaken and TDEN and avoid anything off BC&SL. I wouldn't mind seeing anything else.

bosk1

I absolutely adored the set list they gave us in S.F. the first time around.  But that being said, I would love it if they didn't duplicate any of the non-ADTOE songs.

SeRoX

I can not be certain about Disappear.

One thing is that it isn't played because it's so personal to James and DT agreed not to play it again. Other thing, MP wanted a song that just performed once (but it was played twice, AFAIK) on DVD and remained like that.

If the first one is the reason I respect what DT've done but if the second one is the reason I find it kinda absurd. I hope they'll play it soon.

Hmmm...that's an interesting one.  Personally, I love the song.  But I'm not sure I would ever really want to hear it live.  But that being said, I wish we had a better version recorded for DVD.  It bugs me that James flubbed the lyrics on the Budokan version.  Of course, they could always do an official bootleg release of the show with the other time they played it with Friessen.  It wouldn't surprise me if that was actually one of the releases that was in the works before Mike left the band.
