After slagging the song so hard yesterday I forced myself to listen to HTF and I don't hate it. I hate the "Crooked Step" part and that's the bit I always remember when I think of the song but it's a short section really. Still my least favourite on the album.
Nothing is saving TDEN though.

Nothing is saving TDEN though.

That's interesting, the "Crooked Step" part is what saves it for me. After the drum intro, it feels a bit tepid, and the rappy vocals just don't work for me; not that the instrumental part isn't also tepid, it's just undeniably badass.

what about a thread that would cover these categories:

1. songs that have no good parts and that you wouldn't care if they had never been made
2. songs that you wouldn't care if they had never been made but still have some good parts
3. songs that you are happy that they were made but have some bad parts
4. songs that you are happy that they were made and have no bad parts = perfect songs

it is a bit too analytical and would require a lot of listening and thinking but it would be interesting. since I am a new member I don't feel comfortable starting threads so hopefully someone will find the idea interesting and start a thread about it

This list will be slightly gimped as I haven't listened to WDADU or SFAM yet so here goes.

I love the first 4. Wither is ok. I have Beneath the Surface and BmU BmD tied since I don't know which I dislike more. I don't think they're bad per say, but compared to the rest of the album they're meh. The songs from 7-9 I just don't like though.
