Hi, I´m thinking about buying the box set of DT12, and the item I´m more interested is the MM jam.

Could anyone that has see it comment the performance?

Thanks a lot.

I don't think anyone has recieved the box-set yet. I'm not sure though, but I haven't heard of anyone who has got it.

The jam is mind blowingly good. I really wish they released more of the jams they have done with him now.

It is very cool, however, it is only 26 minutes long (and it includes about 7 or 8 minutes of footage from the original drummer documentary, so it isn't all new).

If you are interested in the other items in the boxset, then it is definitely a cool addition, but if you are contemplating getting the boxset just for that, I would reconsider.

My box set showed up on the afternoon of the 23rd.

The jam is incredibly good.  I wish that they didn't overlay commentary discussing Mangini on top of it.  It would be much preferable to just sit back and appreciate the playing.  Also, I wish they threw in the other performances from the audition (Spirit Carries On, A Nightmare to Remember, The Dance of Eternity).

The stem tracks for Behind the Veil are a nice bonus as well.

That calm solo section of the jam should have made the album.

The documentary is cool but it does contain a lot of footage from the original documentary. I wouldn't get the box set for that alone. The jam is good.

So all the footage they filmed in the studio for DT12 was primarily for YouTube and instead they throw on a 2 year old documentary ?

I'm hoping the Luna Park Documentary is somewhat more substantial.

Yes, essentially.

Oh yes, me too.  I was looking for these songs since they released the 3 audition episodes.
But it's likely they won't release it at all.
