The Letter M

I'm hoping they play "Lost Not Forgotten" and "This Is The Life", so they will have played every song from the new album live! That way, if they do a OIALT/CIM-styled live release (video or audio), they can put every song from ADTOE on there for an official live release, or at very least, some sort of eventual unofficial/YtseJamRecords live release.

He said he'd shit in RMV's pants and clean it up dressed in nothing but llama fur.
Sounds like fun.

TheKillingHand

Whatever they do I really hope they keep Bridges In The Sky, Outcry and Breaking All Illusions, but I have a feeling that if they put in another ADTOE song they'll drop one of them...or else maybe they'll drop the 2 acoustic songs or BMUBMD.

LNF would be awesome, also The Glass Prison

These two please. I would love to see Mangini rock TGP....I was...let's say....frustrated by MP's playing of that song often because he'd 'take parts off' it seemed. Understandable considering how demanding it is...but I think MM would stick to the studio track on that song and it would sound incredible.

Home! That would be incredible. I just hope that they play at least something from Scenes From a Memory or Six Degrees. And please not TDEN.

This. Please don't play I Walk Beside You as well. That song is just too poppy IMO. Love the sound that heavy tunes will be in the set. Honor Thy Father would be awesome. Home, TGP, LNF would be nice. I have always liked the heavier side of DT.

Jinx

Meh, I'm quite a fan of TDEN. I think its a good song to showcase live. But I would love Home or The Glass Prison too. Hell, all three. I think LNF must be a dead cert.

Home is freakin' awesome live! They played it in Stockholm on the Octavarium tour, they played it as the last song of the first set. It was AMAZING!

JoiseyDTLovah

I want to see Another Won.

Saw it at my first DT show - the only Evening with performance I've seen.  Like the noob I was, I sat pining for Hollow Years or Solitary Shell.

Myungs bass line on that song is worlds apart.  It slays me.  I'm going to listen to it right now.

SpaceRyeVest

ToT heavy!? Endless Sacrifice was awesome last year...maybe bring back Stream of Consciousness or TDS???

Neuth

As far as The Mirror and Lie, would it be too soon to bring them back on tour, because they used them in the 2009 setlist. I don't really know what the general consensus is when bringing a song back on tour is though, if there is one.

They weren't played every night of that tour, so I missed them when they played in Berlin  :-\

I'm hoping for LNF as well (and TITL), and if they rotate it I hope I'm lucky enough to see it at my show (maybe it being on a Friday will be in its favor)... . I hope they don't play TDEN and I'm not even that crazy about TSF (edit: oops, I meant TGP) any more, so other those I'm up for almost anything... :metal

To be honest, we haven't gotten enough ballads in the current setlist.  More heavy tunes are fine so long as they replace the already-heavy tunes.

Yes, because the three ballads in the set clearly were not enough.
Beneath the Surface, Silent Man, and Through Her Eyes were what we saw, and they are all really short or somewhat short songs.  I dunno, I just really appreciate DT's ballads, and I think a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio would be best.

Since he said "heavy," I fully expect a cover of Psychosane.  :caffeine:  :metal

Hey, MP played Lines in the Sand, so I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility.

DarkLord_Lalinc

JR will sing "mothafuckin' psychosane" with a vocoder.

MK_Ultra

Want:
Take The Time
Metropolis
The Glass Prison (if unlikely, considering the amount of Portnoy vocals)
Blind Faith
This Dying Soul
The Root Of All Evil
Octavarium
A Nightmare To Remember
The Count Of Tuscany

Not all heavy, but songs that weren't in the main set last time.
yay new sets :)

Oh. Through My Words, you mean?

DarkLord_Lalinc

Petrucci can do the heavy vocals in TGP. Actually, in the original recording of TGP, I remember thinkin JP's "tough" voice was tougher than MP's. So, it might actually work.

KevShmev

The Glass Prison is totally doable without Portnoy.  The first verse ("Cunning, baffling, powerful...") could be switched to JLB doing the lead vocal, and then Petrucci could do the distorted backup vocal (that JLB does originally).

BlobVanDam

I think Petrucci could fill in for the MP parts just fine. I can't remember hearing Petrucci attempt the more spoken style vocals such as "enter the door", although I'm sure he could do at least a passable job of it.
The thought of them not doing that song again just doesn't sit right with me. They could make it work. I'm still not expecting it in the near future though.

hefdaddy42

Although I understand why they may not want to do any MP-penned lyrics again, I would hope that the exceptions would be TGP and ACOS.

It would be a tragedy if we never saw ACOS again.  A fatal one, at that.

Tumdace

Oh man it would be great to see The Glass Prison or This Dying Soul

?

Blackfield

ACOS hasn't been played in years. If they were to bring that back and play it in Stockholm I'd self implode.

But I'm pretty sure it won't be played.  :'(

obscure

I wouldn't mind seeing anything on the setlist but they are not coming anywhere near me  :'( :'( :'(

Which parts of TGP have JP vocals?
(not calling you out or anything, I just wasn't aware that they were there)

Good, but not like those others.
