Anyway, whoever it was is obviously around 20, no disrespect, but if whoever it was, was a bit older, he would obviously understand what the lyrics were about

I'm 21 and thoroughly enjoy This Is The Life.  Therefore, I assert that appreciation of the song or its lyrical message actually has nothing to do with age.

Think maybe it's just that people have varying tastes?

I didn't realize age made your opinions more objectively correct somehow. Oh wait, it doesn't! You'd expect someone of 44 years of age to know that better than any 20 year old.

TITL is one of my very favourites on the album, but that didn't take age to realize. Just my own opinion.

I'm 21 and absolutely love the song as well, but I have to admit that I don't quite feel the lyrics (yet). They seem a bit too general and lots of people have written this kind of lyrics already. But is that an age problem?
