So a guy known for liking hard rock and straight up metal puts out a list of his favorite albums of 2011 and they're all hard rock and straight up metal.

I'll be over here lying down from the shock.

Seriously, are we supposed to be getting upset because Eddie Trunk is tight with Mike Portnoy and that's DOUBTLESSLY why Dream Theater didn't make this list and AM did? Come on guys, lighten up. That notion is straight up reaching for it.

Now that I agree with.  I don't know why anyone cares what some no-name NY radio guy's favorite albums are.

Yea Eddie Trunk is such a horrible person for not having the greatest album created by man on his list  :\ . If ADTOE was made while MP was still in the band all the people here who have been loving this album and hating on MP would have said that this album is a cop out. That DT are not creative enough to create a good album with new ideas, and that they had to resort to going back and make an album that took song structures from an old classic album to make the fans happy. That's what I think would have been said. I remember this place had a little bit more objectivity when it came to DT when MP was in the band, but now that public enemy number 1 is out of the band, I guess anything that DT does from now on is going to be considered a masterpiece. Whatever.

Wow, how can one post have so much fail in it?

agreed, what a bitter post that is. I would have loved it just as much if MP had still been in the band but I dont think that they could have made it.

This.  Eddie Trunk is MINO.  I don't know why anyone would care too much about his favorites list, even if ADTOE were on it.

tbh i haven't see DT in many 2011 lists aside from the DTF ones.

Selective lists? :)
\o\ lol /o/

Perpetual Change

Eddie's sorta hilarious in that respect. He totally comes across as a guy who didn't even like metal until seeing "Rock of Ages" on Broadway, so every time you see something not like that on his show or lists, you know it's just because he has a friend or acquaintance he's trying to pimp out.

Madman Shepherd

That Metal Show is the vh1 equivalent of an infomercial.  People applaud every 15 seconds for something stupid and when something funny is said they cut to a canned reaction of someone laughing.
