I love this song. I think its the tits and the solo rocks. :metal

theseoafs

One of the worst songs in DT's catalog. Unimaginative and boring.

AngelBack

Hadn't listened to it in many months, but heard it at the Atlanta show a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed.  THAT SOLO .... a face melter.

Metrovarium

Not often. The piano intro is pretty cool, but the rest isn't too great.

DC PHAROAH

I absolutely love Forsaken!!! I think it's a really cool song that sounds a bit different than most DT songs. I think they took a chance with it and I like it. Also, loved how they played it live on this tour.  very very pleased.  :tup

Zook

I haven't listened to much Dream Theater in a few weeks, but only because I've been listening to other bands. I do still like Forsaken though.

Only started listening to DT about a month ago, but love forsaken!  :metal

Forsaken is good song, really enjoyed it on this tour, a favorite of mine.

Cookstar

I've always liked it.  When I started reading the forums here, I was surprised to find it was one of their least liked songs.  Maybe it's just not prog enough for some people.  I think the video is cool too.

Whats not to like about it?? Seriously, I dont understand why so many people dislike it (and yet a lot on here seem to like Paramore and the like  ;D)

tjanuranus

Of course. I still listen to them all!

ResultsMayVary

Solo rules, but the song is meh compared to the rest of DT's catalog. Still a good song, though.

sfam2112

The last time I heard it was when I saw them play it live a few weeks ago. I don't listen to it often, but it's not a bad song. :)

Phoenix87x

The last time I listened to SC was over 2 years ago.

Just jammed to that song on the drums after I was scrolling through the songs on my iPhone and saw that, I havent listened to it for awhile but I forgot how awesome it was! Its not as strong as the rest of the DT catalog but still a fun one to play for sure, and DT's weakest in the catalog > most other bands best stuff :eek

SeventhSon

Not my favourite song, but it works pretty well in a live setting. I've seen them play it twice and it usually goes over pretty well. That said, I could go without seeing them perform it next time.

I only listen to it if I'm running through their whole catalog. Otherwise I don't listen to that album or that specific song.

TAC

Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

nattmorker

I absolutely love it. It'sgreat i'm going to see it live in mexico next month

I remember loving it and listening to it a lot when SC first came out - I was just beginning to get into the band at this point.

I don't like it nearly so much nowadays, it's far from being one of my favourite DT songs. But I still enjoy listening to it, great solo from JP and great vocals.
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

It's a song with imagination as well. I can listen to it, and it takes me away to Vamp land  :lol

lithium112

Cool song and a kickass solo. It was good to see it on this tour.  :metal

obscure

It really is a great song... Both James and Petrucci are awesome... I can understand why people start to like it less over the years though... one of the mainstream songs of DT....

Pols Voice

No, nobody ever listens to it. EVER.

That said, it's decent.

PetFish

I love everything about it but, sadly, it seems to be in the same h8r category as You Not Me.

Jirpo

Yep! First song I liked from DT. Great little fella :D

ddtonfire

I love it, especially the djun djun    djun djun djun   de de de djenty D5's with the harmonics interspersed throughout.  And the nice concise solo. And the music video. And the chorus. And...

You Not Me has it's own hate category.

I hadn't heard it until the Grand Prairie show and I honestly forgot how good of a song it is.  James's vox on this are just stellar. :heart
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri

BlobVanDam

Yes I listen to it. It's a good song. Underrated along with the rest of the album, but the crowds definitely enjoy it live. :tup
