Just some brain storming and thought we could have a little back and forth of predictions and clarifications.
I think they might take a week some time in November to set up the second single preparations and shoot the video for it, probably BMUBMD.
Then the first 10 days of December will be that mini U.S leg. Then they'll break for two weeks before the European tour.
Or break for all of November and do the second single preparations in December after the mini leg.
Gonna guess the second single will be released half way through the European tour.
After the European tour I'm gonna guess they'll break for March unless more world dates keep getting added to cover March too (just remembered where's Japan in all this, I'm guessing they're gonna try to go. It's usually a DT must.)
So this drags into April, then what? A good 2 month break then the second leg of the U.S tour? LaBrie said in Dallas "This is the last U.S date and we're all pretty bummed out about it. Hopefully we'll be back here in 2012" [Off topic:then JP told him to "Keep talking" while JP gets the game results somewhere backstage, to which Labrie answered "You want me to keep talking? anything else you want me to do for you?" :lol then JP came out and took the mic saying "Texas is up by one!"]
Of course coming back is gonna be a RR decision based on the album sales, right?
So coming back in 2012 as I understand it means going through the U.S cities they haven't played the first time. So no hope for Texas. But he said "We'll be back here in 2012", any chance he means Dallas, not the U.S in general?
Thoughts, info, opinions, predictions, gimme gimme. I so wanna see them again this tour.

Whatever happens, I'm expecting album in mid 2013.

i think the next album will come out even quicker since they're probably all raring to get back in the studio

and write with Mangini.

Progmetty

I'm still far too in love with ADToE to think about that now but yeah that'd be sweet.

My personal opinion on what they'll do (it's shaped by interviews, random after-show talks with JP, etc.)

December - 2 week Mini-NA Leg
January/Feburary - Europe

Then I think we can see Australia, Japan, and other Asian dates somewhere in late March, followed closely by South America. Let's say they are done by the end of April with that.

May off.

June/early July second U.S. Leg.

late July off.

Enter the studio in August for DT12.

Album comes out April/May 2013.

Do you think they'll be in avoiding the states where they had more than a date on the tour that just ended?

I don't understand the question. Clarify, please?

Progmetty

Like Texas & Florida got 3 shows each. Does that mean no Texas or Florida next U.S leg?

Well, I wouldn't rule it out. They may have a show or two, at least.

FretMuppet

I remember JLB mentioned about doing a Christmas-y album in the future, hopefully next year, I doubt it will be this year to be honest...

jcmistat

Whenever DT comes back to the Northern California I gotta go see them again hopefully for years to come. Wishing for a live DVD for this tour too.

DT's average album release is 2.04 years so I'm expecting something in 2013! I always thought the time between Six Degrees and Train of Thought were the shortest but I was mislead. Train of Thought to Ocatvarium is only 1 year, 6 months, 3 weeks, 6 days.

TAC

Didn't M13 mention the possibility os Spring dates? I am going to assume that the US has not seen the last of DT.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Progmetty

I hope so TAC.
I'm thinking only on of 2012 and ADToE for now. I'm talking about what next in the ADToE era, not what's next for DT.
Cause I'm very much enjoying this current era. Great vibe.

Any info on whether they'll play in Madison Square Garden on the second US leg? That would make a great DVD/Bluray!  :metal

True, but the question is, can they fill MSG in order to make it a successful show? I bet if they had a show there, people would travel from all over, but NYC alone probably wouldn't be able to make the show successful for them.

Progmetty

I'll go to NYC for a DT show in MSG. Never been to NYC before and I can't think of better occasion to.

I'd certainly try to go, too. Went to Chicago from Ohio for this tour, so Ohio to NYC isn't much farther.

Progmetty

I kinda want the second single release to be a physical CD. I wish it comes with a B side of live BiTS.
