The boss on the Awake level should be some bad shrimp.

I don't know, I like the idea of AIDS being the boss for Images and Words.

You want to play a video game where a cartoon pirate fights AIDS with a shovel and forklift?

I do too.

Storyline (procrastinating midterms):

The North American Dream Squad is called to action when they find out that a tyrant is murdering thousands of New York's residents. They fight The Killing Hand, who, when defeated, transforms back into Charlie Dominici. He reveals that a dark force possessed him and made him commit evil. He tells the Dream Squad to head East and talk to The Count of Tuscany, a supernatural scholar who would be able to make sense of this dark force.

After traveling through several vast worlds and rescuing our friends Kevin Moore and Mike Portnoy from the clutches of The Mirror and The Glass Prison respectively, and after saving Desmond Child, The Crooked Step and others from a dark force that is corrupting them and making them awful people, they reach Tuscany only to find that The Count himself (as well as his bearded and gentlemanly brother) has been corrupted and is going on a murderous rampage, scary car rides and all. After defeating The Count, he reveals that wait a minute man, that's not how it is, and that a Shaman has cast a spell of darkness over the land.

The Dream Squad goes to the ruins guarded by the Raw Dog and takes a portal to the Bridges in the Sky, where they confront the Shaman, who then reveals his true form as the Dark Master within. The Dream Squad wins and there is peace once more.

Don't know who the enemies would be, but they'd be in the presence of them in the boss levels.

Hell yeah, I'd play any game for hours with this NES soundtrack!  I love how 4:18 in translated into 8- bit

RaiseTheKnife

It would be great if Dream Theater did somethiing like this to preview one of their new songs from the next album-- instead of sneak peak snipits, or the reversed clips that they used in previous teases.

Surely someone on the DTF has the necessary skills.  If not for an NES version, then at least for an internet flash game.

I've made 8-bit versions of some DT songs, but I wonder if it'd be against forum rules to post them ???
It's not that difficult actually.

BlobVanDam

It wouldn't be against forum rules to post an 8-bit version of a song, since it's not a copyrighted recording of the song.

And also I wants to hear me some 8-bit goodness.
