the up tempo intro accompanied by the bass beats doesn't really go well and fit with the song, especially when theres an immediate transition to a more mellow section with soft vocals.

anyone else feel the same way?

well i better get ready a fire extinguisher, i know im gonna get flamed :mehlin

To elaborate on the above:

I don't understand how the intro doesn't fit with the rest of the song. Not only do the riffs in the intro show up later (0:50 is obviously the chorus, and 0:33 is 4:20, with a derived riff at 9:50), the intro is really sweet and pretty atypical for DT.

I like it. It sounded weird the first few times I heard it because of the rhythm, but now I think it fits well. It almost feels like construction or deconstruction, fitting the lyrics.
Ok, now I'm just making up stuff to fit the song, but the point is that I like it.

The intro of Breaking All Illusions is one of my favorite moments on the entire album.

I'm sorry, but it seems that you are all alone in your opinion.

Easily one of my favourite moments of the album. I love the Mega Man'ish flair of it.

gentaishinigami

One of my favorite moments as well.  It just sounds awesome and unique to me.  Voted and lol'd when there was only one "no", and that was probably the OP.  :rollin

Zydar

I love the intro, and the song itself is stellar.

One of the best, well executed fucking intros I've ever heard

Better than Learning to Live's intro, IMO. I love me some Learning to Live, but that intro is pretty weak.

Nothing wrong with it at all.

Possibly my favourite part of the whole glorious shebang.

Is there any way to change a vote? I want to change to 'no' so that the OP doesn't feel lonely :coolio
