The crazy guy screaming at the top of his lungs directly behind you was me. I saw that double high five, and you are one lucky mother fucker.

gibbs1245

And yes, I just made an account just to post that. Best show of my entire life.

Moshing is fun, especially in Soulfly/Slayer concerts.

It doesn't fit DT, to be honest, but headbanging does.

Hardcore dancing.
Is that a real thing? Or are you just messing with me?

I think Moshing's kinda dumb anyway, to be perfectly honest. What happened to good ol' fashioned headbanging?

This times a million.  Most people that mosh I don't believe actually give a shit about the band.  I've never been in a fight in my life but at concerts I seem to get very close when people don't respect my space.  Don't get me wrong, if people are jumping around and having fun and accidentally bump into me, I'm fine, but when they completely disregard my right to watch the show with a reasonable degree of safety, I flip out.

Ironically, two fights I almost got into were because somebody next to me thought I was TOO into the show.  I was banging my head and pumping my fists and they seemed to think that I was getting to close to them....mind you, I never even touched them.

It was pretty depressing to have to remind people that they were watching Heaven & Hell or Alice Cooper and not Barry Manilow.

Oops, I also meant to post in defense of Trivium.  I don't care for them and won't be buying their album but I thought they were a decent opener for DT.  Totally respectful and had a pretty good degree of musicality in their material.

So, were you the guy with the girlfriend, or the guy with the glasses who my friend elbowed in the face?

WindMaster

gibbs1245

I was neither. The guy with the girlfriend was texting the entire show and barely moved, so he got in my way. And the kid with the glasses was not me. I was like in the middle of them lol

I was screaming the entire show though, you pry heard me  :D

Mladen

Quote from: Ultimetalhead on October 04, 2011, 07:42:39 PMthe questionably talented Trivium took the stage. Being in the front row for Trivium was obviously something I was prepared to suffer through

:\ :yeahright :tdwn

We're allowed to not like like Trivium, and we're allowed to think they suck.

I know. I was just messing with him.

hefdaddy42

I have moshed and enjoyed it, but I'm too old for that crap now.
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Gadough

Hef, no offense, but the thought of you in a mosh pit is hilarious. :lol

Jirpo

I really wanted to ask JP why he's so stingy with his picks

I asked him and he said he using a prototype and doesn't have very many.

Super Dude

Wow, thanks for the answer. Also, welcome back! :tup

Awesome. :lol

My friend went through the trouble of writing on his hand asking for one. I think that's worth a fancy prototype pick.

I hated Trivium. Im just not into screamo crap like that. I prefer the lighter side of DT (although I loved ToT) but I absolutely couldnt stand Trivium.
