I can't be bothered to look for my latest post in this topic, but 7 shows as of today:

2012.02.21 - Milan, Assago Forum
2014.01.21 - Florence
2014.07.21 - Brescia, Piazza Della Loggia <-- The downpour show, by far their best
2015.07.19 - Pistoia
2016.03.18 - Milan, Teatro degli Arcimboldi
2017.04.23 - London, Hammersmith Apollo [the Derek Oliver show]
2019.07.19 - St. Julien en Genevois, Guitar En Scene

I skipped them (despite having tickets!) on the latest tour as I wasn't a fan of the setlist and was generally not in the mood for a show. I'm sure as hell going to try to compensate on this next tour!

Go Marco go! And I see that you never got to see MP in the drum seat, so now you'll get that opportunity, too!

BTW, clean out your inbox - I tried to PM you but couldn't!   :)
Quote from: BlobVanDam on November 13, 2015, 07:37:14 PMAs a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.
Quote from: TAC on July 10, 2024, 08:26:41 AMPOW is awesome! :P

Hey Scott! I guess I have not checked my inbox in the last five years, didn't realise it was clogged!

I have in fact seen MP on the drums, but for Transatlantic, around a month before he announced his exit in 2010. Actually got a nod from him after I pointed at him to my father while he was chilling backstage as the various opening acts played their sets!

Can't wait to add #10 in London in October. Also going to try and get to 2 or 3 US shows whenever that leg happens.
Honorable mentions would be a JP solo show on his last tour with Portnoy in Minneapolis, and LTE in Chicago in 2008.

Sorry. Didn't notice this until the thread got bumped (and assuming you're asking me). Not sure what my favourite would be. Good memories from a lot of them, with some cool meetups and some good performances (and openers). Probably the first one by virtue of a great setlist. It was also part of a monster weekend with DT, Yes, and Rush over 4 nights. That was a fuck-ton of killer music.

And 10 months later the prophecy comes true! I'm going to see them at Milan, come the 25th of this month. And I really hope the guys come out to greet the fans outside the doors after the show, I have a certain album and a certain famous bootleg that are missing a nice MP autograph

The only tour I've missed since 2011 is Dreamsonic, but they didn't have a full set so whatever. Had I known it would be MM's last tour with them, I likely would have gone, so that does kinda suck.
My latest concept album "III: The Sparrow & The Architect" is out now!
"IV: Timber" Coming Fall 2024!
