The Letter M

Alright folks, as we all know, DT have less than a dozen B-Sides and often put all the music they write on to their records, but in their pre-SFAM days, they had quite a few B-Sides which never made it to their albums, and while they got released in non-public/not-so-fully-official means, they were released through the FanClub (Cleaning Out The Closet) and YtseJam Records (the Demos albums), while 2 non-album tracks got official release on EPs ("A Change Of Seasons" and "Raw Dog").

Anyways, your mission here is to make an album that is made up of DT's B-Sides, including all or only some of DT's 10 non-album tracks.

Here's mine (released in vinyl for you audiophiles who would like that):
Where Are You Now? (Non-Album Track Album) - 52:45
Side 1 - 25:14
1. Raise The Knife (11:35)
2. Cover My Eyes (3:21)
3. To Live Forever (4:55)
4. Don't Look Past Me (6:23)
Side 2 - 26:31
5. The Way It Used To Be (7:45)
6. Where Are You Now? (7:26)
7. Eve (5:10)
8. Speak To Me (6:10)

Yes, I said that, but it was a simple chronological release - nothing exciting about the track listing.

Haven't you included 8 of the 9 tracks from Cleaning Out The Closet?

Yes, I have, and that was the point, but the track listing on COTC was based on when the songs were written/recorded, and no further thought given to the running order beyond that. DT have always given more thought to an album's track order than just simply slapping tracks together and there's always a good flow between tracks. The point of this thread was to see what fans could do with the tracks given to make a more exciting track listing in terms of dynamics, flow, relative song-lengths and having an album-dynamic, rather than just a collection of non-album tracks.

Even DT's solitary compilation has some interesting track orders, despite being largely chronological - the 2nd disc closes with "Disappear" rather than "I Walk Beside You", despite being an old track than the latter, because it feels like a better disc-closer than the former.

Super Dude

All I know is Don't Look Past Me has to be an opening track. There is no substitute for that opening riff.

Progmetty

All the songs on that Cleaning Out The Closet CD all sound like they could fit with FII songs as a double album.
And they're just as awful imo.
