Disappear.

I think I'll probably end up liking Far From Heaven better in the long run, but right now it's too new for me to be sure.

Not that big a fan of Anna Lee.

Samsara

The low regard for "Anna Lee" in comparison to those other two tracks is unfortunate. "Anna Lee" is, in my opinion, criminally underrated and I'm disappointed the band doesn't perform it more often (along with "Space Dye Vest," but that's a whole 'nother can 'o worms that we've talked about for ages).

I'm guessing here, but I'm not sure it is "low regard" so much as the unfortunate dynamic of having it in a poll.  I think it's just that, of the three, Disappear is the most highly rated and will get the most votes.  It seems like most people overall would rank Anna Lee #2 (myself included).  But of those remaining voters who didn't vote for Disappear, I think FFH is getting more votes simply because of its newness.

Eh, then again, as much as I hate the terms "overrated" and "underrated," Anna Lee is definitely one of the most criminally underrated, overlooked songs on Falling Into Infinity, so what do I know?  I will say that, prior to hearing the the album and knowing that they wrote three really solid new ballads, I was really pulling for Anna Lee to be the "token ballad" in the set lists for this tour.

I looked back at the results of ariich's official song ratings thread, and Anna Lee was ranked number 77.  I'd say 'low regard' is a fair enough term.

I really like them all, but I gave my vote for Anna Lee. I love the chorus. FFH and Disappear are more emotional, but musically I enjoy AL most of the three.

I guess I'm in the minority here as I really, really do not like disappear (it might even be my least favorite DT song. Hey, everyone has one). Having said that, I'd say Anna Lee. I, too think that it is under-rated and a very nice song. I haven't listened to FFH enough yet for me to consider that.

Disappear.

Far From Heaven is growing on me a bit now and I always find myself singing along to it, though it's still my least favourite on the album. Anna Lee is pretty nice, seems to get a fair bit of stick but it's far from the worst thing on FII for me.
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

Disappear, far and away.  Far From Heaven is good, and so is Anna Lee, but Disappear is...well, it's fucking Disappear.

I voted for Anna Lee, I think it's a gorgeous piano ballad. Then Disappear and last Far from heaven.

Disappear
Far From Heaven
Anna Lee

All great songs, but Disappear is a top 10.

I think FFH vs. WFS vs. S-DV vs. Anna Lee would be a good poll because they are all piano ballads...Disappear is a whole different category.

Out of those.....

Wait For Sleep
Space Dye Vest
Far From Heaven

Anna Lee is indeed underrated.

But I gotta go Far From Heaven. Never has a DT song touched me emotionally as much as that one.

CrimsonSunrise

1. FFH
2. Disappear

3. Anna lee - probably my least fav song in the DT inventory.

Anna Lee 3.5/10
Disappear 1/10
Far From Heaven 6/10 (combined with BAI = 10/10)

Far From Heaven.

Far from Heaven
Disappear
Anna Lee

I like the lyrics in Disappear, but I've never found it particularly great musically. It's like they tried to make a new Space-Dye Vest but didn't succeed. Anna Lee is one of my least favorites on FII, which is my 2nd least favorite DT album, so that explains its place! :lol But if Vacant was in this poll, I'd probably vote for it.

Disappear, no contest! So moody, so perfect! Well, FFH 2nd and Anna Lee 3rd, but far behind.

Anna Lee is terrible, Far From Heaven is cool, and Disappear is a fucking masterpiece.

Agreed.  I don't think I've listened to Anna Lee in years.

Disappear is one of the few ballads that was a major grower for me.  My initial take was "meh".  Now I think it's fantastic.

fibreoptix

I'd say...

Disappear
Anna Lee
Far From Heaven

They're all good. I just don't think FFH matches up to the other two. On the other hand, that might be because it's not been around long enough to earn its chops.

it might even be my least favorite DT song. Hey, everyone has one

Maybe we could open a thread for least favorite DT song? :) Mine is "Just let me breathe", hands down! Can't stand it!

Disappear. Absolutely beautiful song.

1. Disappear
2. Far From Heaven
3. Anna Lee

Demolition

Disappear is a DT classic hands down.  Anna Lee I also really like but it's not in the same class.  After listening to the new disc about 10 times so far, I just can't connect to FFH.  To me it is the worst song on the CD.

Cool Chris

Disappear is in my DT top 20, and one of my favorite songs of the JR-era. I can see why it might not be some peoples' cup of tea, but it's a song I can't see any DT fan flat out hating. So happy it made it on to Budokan show.

Anna Lee is a good song mired in a slog of mediocrity on FII, so I rarely give it a listen. Middle-of-the-pack song for me. Might be nice to see live, but not a song I'd clamor for.

Hard to rank FHH. After the first listen it wasn't memorable at all. After a few more, it fit in nicely between Outcry and BAI and I felt much better about it. It is probably my least favorite song off the album, and I still like it a lot, which says a ton about ADToE. Not a song I'd listen to on its own, and was much happier about getting BTS for the Seattle show.
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side because you're not over there fucking it up.

This applies to me.  I enjoy the song, but I don't entirely 'get' it.  It doesn't fully 'click' with me.

Disappear. It's always been one of my favorite songs of all time and the only DT song that still, after an incredible number of listens, slaps me right in the emotion center. Beautiful lyrics and interesting instrumentation. Far From Heaven is amazing as well but I honestly think it'll be something that I might like more as it ages with me and I reflect back on what was happening in my life the first time I heard it. Anna Lee isn't one of my favorites but I love singing along with that one, haha.
