Just curious which one people prefer now that we have seen the two sets that will likely form the backbone of the U.S. tour.  Rather than listing both sets, I will list only the songs that are rotated.

Set A (San Francisco):
The Silent Man
Beneath The Surface
Forsaken
Outcry
Under A Glass Moon

Set B (Los Angeles):
Wait For Sleep
Far From Heaven
Caught In A Web
Breaking All Illusions
Pull Me Under

Progmetty

Outcry is the only song that makes this a hard choice but I'm gonna go with B.

DarkLord_Lalinc

You can leave both Beneath the Surface and Breaking All Illusions into any set, and I'll be a happy camper.

snapple

B. I wish they would ditch PMU for The Silent Man.

Well... exactly this. I love Outcry far more than Breaking All Illusions, but the other songs are truly awesome.

(I hope I'll finally see Pull Me Under in January... their most played live song ever, it must probably kick ass live, and I still haven't seen it after seeing them four times :( )

Metrovarium

Setlist B > Setlist A in every case except for BTS. I like UAGM just as much as PMU, but the former doesn't work as a closer nearly as well as the latter.

LieLowTheWantedMan

Irock

B mainly for Breaking All Illusions.

But if I could mix and match, I'd have:

The Silent Man (A)
Beneath The Surface (A)
Caught In A Web (B)
Breaking All Illusions (B)
Under A Glass Moon (A)

jdprsaga

Really hard to pick

The Silent Man  >> Wait For Sleep
Beneath The Surface   >> Far From Heaven
under a glass moon > Pull me under

but

forsaken <<< Caught In A Web
outcry <<  Breaking All Illusions

So it's 5 ">" against 5 "<"

Obviously, I'm a bit biased because of the show I went to, but I prefer the S.F. set.  Going song by song by where they appear in the set list:

The Silent Man or Wait For Sleep:  I LOVE Wait For Sleep.  One of my favorite DT ballads of all time, and I've badly been wanting to see it live.  So as cool as it was to have TSM played, if it were up to me, I would choose WFS every time--no contest.

Beneath The Surface or Far From Heaven:  Both are solid ballads from the new album.  But whereas BTS is probably in my top 3 on the album, FFH is my least favorite.  BTS wins.  And herein lies the problem.  For this portion of the set, TSM and BTS are more or less tied together, as are WFS and FFH, because the former pair are performed with JP and James up front as primarily acoustic guitar & vocal -driven songs, whereas with the last two, it is JM and James up front, with both being basically keyboard-driven.  So of the pair, I think I prefer the TSM/BTS pair.

Forsaken or Caught In A Web:  I was really looking forward to hearing CIAW live because I've never heard it live and I think it would be a pretty rockin' live song.  But I have also never heard Forsaken live, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that song.  Forsaken wins, hands down.

Outcry or Breaking All Illusions:  Outcry is probably my favorite song on the new album.  Breaking All Illusions was down near the bottom, but I have really come to like it considerably over the last few days.  Still, Outcry wins.

Under A Glass Moon or Pull Me Under:  As far as studio tracks, I have to go with PMU.  However, I had never previously seen UAGM live.  And, to me, while PMU is a great song, it has always felt to me like it lacks something in a live setting.  UAGM.

So, yeah, my vote goes to set A for all the above song pairings (with the exception of WFS).

I just wish we could rotate Wait for Sleep and Caught in a Web with set list A and turn that into set list ULTIMATE!

Wait, so Pull Me Under was the encore instead of Under a Glass Moon?

A has Forsaken. B has Breaking All Illusions.

That alone is enough to vote B.

In L.A., yes.

...  Alright then.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  UAGM seemed like an odd encore choice to me, but Pull Me Under seems downright weird.

Well, I like the acoustic break better in Setlist A, but Caught in a Web and Breaking All Illusions are miles better than Forsaken and Outcry, in my opinion.  But I'd rather see UaGM than PMU... I dunno, it's a close call, really.

I think I have to go with Setlist B on the strength of Breaking All Illusions.

OsMosis2259

I meant to pick B but I'll be cool if they played either set.

LCArenas

Breaking all Illusions is the Tiebreaker. I like Beneath the Surface more than FFH, though.

setrataeso

Setlist B. Wait for Sleep and Breaking All Illusions make it an easy choice.

Ħ

The Silent Man vs Wait For Sleep
Beneath the Surface vs Far From Heaven
Forsaken vs Caught in a Web
Outcry vs Breaking All Illusions
Under a Glass Moon vs Pull Me Under

So, set A for me.

bss4life15

Set A because Beneath The Surface is the best song on the album for me by miles, i will be severly disappointed if they don't play it in Boston

Jirpo

WFS>TSM
BTS>FFH
Forsaken=Caught in a Web
Outcry=Breaking All Illusions
UAGM>PMU

Set A for me :)

senecadawg2

Although I love the back to back acoustic songs in set A, as well as Outcry... I had to vote Set B for Breaking All Illusions. Still wish they would switch Pull Me Under/UAGM for Metropolis/Learning to live. Hard to complain though, they are both great set lists.

Bandwagon.

Although I think I'd melt in my chair if any future setlist revealed FFH+BAI or BAI+BTS or FFH+BAI+BTS in it.

YtseCullen

For me
Silent Man > Wait For Sleep
Beneath The Surface > Far From Heaven
Forsaken < Caught in a Web
Outcry = Breaking All Illusions
Under A Glass Moon > Pull Me Under

My Reasoning
Silent Man is probably one of my most favourite songs EVER by anyone. Silent Man Wins
Beneath The Surface is the same reason for a Silent Man, Beneath The Surface Wins
Honestly Caught in a Web just kicks so much ass, and I've already seen Forsaken in concert. Caught In A Web wins
Outcry and Breaking All Illusions are among the top for me on the new album so it doesn't matter to me either way which song they play in Vancouver. Draw
Under A Glass Moon is probably my favourite song off of Images And Words and I've already seen Pull me Under twice live in the 3 DT shows I've seen. Under A Glass Moon Wins

Final Verdict: Set List A, Purely based on the acoustic break in the middle.

Cranky

Set list B, hands down, without hesitation.

InertSolo

Argh I love The Silent Man so much  but setlist B has some heavy hitters :( . This just makes me even more excited to see which one I'm going to get!

BlobVanDam

I'm going to go with the flow here and say B. Only because I'm not a fan of Outcry, so that's a huge chunk of set A's differences. Aside from that, I'd happily take either one. In fact, aside from Outcry/BAI, they're about equal for me.
