Ok, here goes...

Under A Glass Moon
6:00
Raw Dog

I think I might have it.  All 3 songs share the same intro and outro.  Well, you need to count the "I know all about the honor of God Mary Jane" of 6:00 as the beginning, but that's the best I got.  UAGM and Raw Dog certainly do this.

ddtonfire

Nope and nope.

Hint: one is a red herring.

TheSoylentMan

The number 6.

6:00 (obvious)
UAGM = track 6
Raw Dog = 6 letters

A red herring?  How could that be?  Are you saying that two link together and the other is not connected and simply leads us off the trail (i.e. a red herring)?  Wouldn't that go against the rules?

Or maybe one has to do with Scooby Doo or a Fish...

Cool find, but nope!

And no rules are being broken, they all still have this in common...

ddtonfire

Alright, hint two:

It has to do with a lack of something.

snapple

They don't contain a definite article?

ddtonfire

Fiery Winds

None feature lyrics by Mike Portnoy?

ddtonfire

True, but you could say the same thing about JMX or JLB, so not what I was thinking.

Fiery Winds

Do you need to listen to the song to get it?

Metrovarium

I'm pretty sure none of them have backing vocals. If that's the case, then Raw Dog would be a red herring, since it has no vocals at all.

visitor

OMG are we still on this one??
I think there should be a time limit before pertinent information should be divulged.

Ding ding ding ding! Winner!

Metrovarium

Okay, here's mine. I don't think it's too hard, but it's not obvious either.

Pull Me Under
Bombay Vindaloo
Goodnight Kiss

BlobVanDam

They're all in the tonality/key of E? (that's only partial at best anyway)

I don't know Bombay Vindaloo at all, so I'm basing that on the first 3 seconds that I've actually heard. :lol

Elite

None have a true 'outro'. Pull Me Under cuts off, Bombay Vindaloo is sortof improvised and Goodnight Kiss segues straight into Solitary Shell.

Each song title includes a letter in double form (ll, oo, both oo and ss for GK)

John94
