That's AWESOME news.  Can't wait to watch this on the big tube with surround sound. :)

Nice, but I don't have a BLURAY player.... but it would be nice to see DT in BLURAY quality :)

Super Dude

Don't have one.  Why not release their first live dvd with MM?

This is very good news. I think that the Budokan is the best DVD the band has yet released. I also like the MP directed DVDs a lot, but Budokan just feels more professional.

Also, the picture quality seems to be the best in LAB. So definitely the best choice for the BR treatment.

Why not release their first blu-ray with footage shot at the upcoming US tour?  Look to the future and all that...

Yeah I just swapped your DVD request to Blu Ray!  :metal

Super Dude

Ah, I see.  Well, at least leave me a DVD format because I don't have the $$ for Blu-ray.

I agree 100%

Now it's time to release Score also on BR.

Not saying that a PS3 is cheap, but those of you that have an HDTV and like games at all should really consider investing in a PS3. It is one of the cheapest bluray players out there and it can do so much more.

If you don't care about games, bluray players can be found for much less than 90 dollars at places like amazon.

I'm glad this is finally confirmed.

It's not confirmed.  It's just confrimed.   ;)

Guitalguy

This is cool. I already have the DVD, so I don't know if I'll get one right away. Probably after I hear about how awesome it is  ;D

TL

I was going to say I'd pick it up if it wasn't too expensive since I already have it on DVD, and these kinds of things always seem to be stupid expensive here.
Amazon.ca has it available for pre-order to the tune of $13.49 right now. The price is right. Bought (it's actually cheaper than on amazon.com, which never happens).

So here's a question; For certifications, do sales of this contribute to the same total as the DVD, or does it count as a separate item? Is it like albums, where a CD and a vinyl count as the same album, or are they technically separate releases?

I was just going to post that for anyone curious, on Amazon.com it is listed for $17.99.

Sounds reasonable to me.

It was Live at Budokan (both CD & DVD) that made me fall in love with DT. Now in Blu-ray?! Awesome! I have been looking for an excuse to invest in a good surround sound system. Excuse found.  :tup

DarkLord_Lalinc

 :D

My favorite DT live concert on Blu-Ray. Fuck yea

I'm actually kind of surprised this didn't get pushed back further with the whole "legal" thing that was going on.

I probably won't get it right away but I'll be sure to grab this eventually... really hope Score gets a blu-ray release soon but I doubt it.

ACID_FOX

I'm sure Mp isn't against this. It's another chance for people to see them in their "glory days". :\

I was just thinking of royalties and all that jazz. Didn't know if that was an issue being dealt with atm.

ishak540m

I'm glad they're releasing this on Blu-Ray because I lent the DVD to someone a long time ago and never got it back.

SlickSy

Oh lawd. Instrumedly in blu-ray :hefdaddy I'm gonna pre-order this right away!

I can only assume it's been settled since April when all the legal stuff began, but who knows.

I'll make a guess and say that they mean the multiple camera angles (you can focus on each member separately). It's very misleading though if it's what they meant by that.

Confirms what we've known for a while. I'm pumped.  :metal

Now that I think about it, it's probably just the regular Instrumedley special feature we already have on the DVD.

Tumdace

Havent even seen a live DT performance yet (in person or on video), and ive been holding out for a Blu Ray (seriously, who buys DVDs nowadays? lol) so I will DEFINATELY be picking this up and watching it right away. Pretty pumped actually.
