SkyPyro, this is one very good video as well! Great job!

PetFish, hard to say which song is my favourite from this album, but This is Life is an awesome song. From what you said it seems it wasn;t even considered for this tour. I guess the only ballads are in thr acoustic set and that's it.

I think your two videos are pretty good. Pretty sure you're snagging a CD. I especially liked your "cloud" transitions and your use of the band profiles during the instrumentals on TITL. Video was very relaxing to watch.

Seems like This is the Life was chosen more than any other for this contest. Maybe because it was short (relatively, for DT). I chose it because of the concept that it seemed to spark in me that I could run with. Too bad it's not on their set lists for this tour.

I don't know how I'm getting the hits because I haven't been plugging it.

SkyPyro, yours has a great concept that goes perfectly well with the lyrics, thus I like it so much!

SkyPyro, you video is simply "WOW" ! I can tell that you did have put effort in the making of it. PetFish, yours are awesome too. I just hope that I could learn to do complicate techie things as you guys do. I do love shooting photo, but I cannot even do any good photoshop work at all. In making my video of Far from Heaven, I simply ran through my catalogs and carefully picked some of them to make a story.

Thanks. The big mistake people make is going crazy with cheesy transitions and text effects. You can really tell who just got their program and is excited and exploring it. You gotta hold back and use what's appropriate and what fits the content.

As long as you enjoy what you're doing be happy. I've been wanting to do a lyric video for a long time, the contest is just a bonus. I actually have a wicked idea/script for a These Walls full-on video but haven't made an attempt to actually make it.

It's supposed to be over but it looks like people are still submitting entries? I wonder when they'll announce the winners.

So, yeah, anyone know what's going on with this? Contest ended on the 5th, it's stayed at 43 entries since then, and they haven't said anything about it yet. It'd be nice to win, of course, but I hate the suspense. Just figure it out already.

Well, this is disheartening. I know there's been some trouble with posting video responses so I could expect a few more than the 40 that are already there, even up to 60, but another 300 on top of that? Pretty lame.

I know the Roadrunner contest is closed. I never expected such a warm response from viewers (or so many hits), which of course only prompted me to go back after the contest and make all the improvements and changes that I wished I could have, but simply ran out of time before the deadline.

And no, there is no winner yet, and as I said in the other one they actually have 350+ entries, not the 40 that are on the page, so it's just a big joke at this point and I'm fairly pissed off about it.

Excellent job! To be honest, some of your choices of pictures seemed a bit odd and maybe a little out of place to me, but aside from that the whole production was very cool.

Yeah, PetFish, I'm kind of wondering why, if there are 350 videos as they stated, they aren't all visible as video responses so we can see them too. I'd like to see them. Unless there's some YouTube problem with having that many video responses. I guess that might be a little unusual, so maybe it uncovered a problem??

At least one of us here won something but I'm going to be a dick cuz I'm pissed off about the Breaking All Illusions winner as almost no thought or effort went into it. A single bubbly background for 13 minutes? Would anyone actually want to watch that? No, you'd minimize the window and go do something else while just listening to the song. It looks like a visual soup spectrum analyzer that gets played in Winamp while music is playing. The fact that this won over just about any of the others is a disgrace.

Congratulations, SkyPyro, at least it took you longer than 5 minutes to make yours and you actually put some effort into it like most of us did.

My thoughts exactly!!! The first 3 were among my personal favorites and I shared them, etc. Yours too. But the other 2

Not just Breaking all Illusions that was a total WTF?? feeling for me, but the other one with the pictures... There were MANY similar ones, why this?? SkyPyro used the pictures very well and it is not just pictures... The other one with the nature images is stunning by itself and also contains a lot. The drawings one if my personal best probably, VERY good representation of the lyrics and the artists put a lot into it. Both this one and SkyPyro's one made me cry actually, they are very touching.
Anyways, nothing we can do, I guess... but at least 3 out of 5 were very good. The other 2... I have no idea what they are doing up there with the best.

Wow the FFH video was a great interpretation and done really well. Damn.

And I think the BAI video won kind of on technical merit - particle system effects are not easy and sounds like this person spent a lot of time editing the video.
