If James Labrie left DT, who would you like to see fill his place as vocalist?

Pretty simple question, can't go into detail much further lol.

My list...

-Russell Allen (Symphony X)
-Bruce Dickenson (Iron Maiden)
-Stu Block (Into Eternity & Iced Earth)

If they would only sing on new albums, and had them written around their vocal capabilities:

-James Maynard Keenan (Tool)
-Steve Wilson (Porcupine Tree)
-James Hetfield (Metallica)

Nils k. Rue from Pagan's Mind

Might not work for everything, but I can definitely see him doing a great job on several DT songs.

This makes me nervous.  What do you know/are planning?

I think I'm having a dejavu with this thread. Anyway, not a fit at all but it would be very interesting having mikael akerfeldt as a composer or co-writing lyrics and riffs with JP.

That guy who sung in Guilt Machine? Yeah, him.

Or a robot LaBrie that is exactly like the original but metal...er.

Yea probably Russel.

I'd love to see DT work with Neal Morse though. With Mike Portnoy too. That would be so awesome.

Geoff Tate, provided that he doesn't get to have any creative input whatsoever.

Russel Allen
Tommy Karevik from Seventh Wonder
Denis Oliveira from Bad Salad dont hate me...

I wouldn't mind an instrumental DT, tbh.  It would at least silence everyone from begging for an instrumental track every two years.

There's a ton of instrumental time on this album...yes no true instrumentals...but it's definitely there and in mass quantity (and quality, might I add  :tup)

Errm... He wouldn't fit AT ALL.

I don't think DT would be his thing at all tbh, and he probably wouldn't have fitted with the music either.
In my spare time I make music! Check it out. :)

I don't know but it would be 50/50 the band would go on with any sucess if something ever happened to Larrie (or JP). The sound would change way too much. I guess it all depends or finding that right guy but DT looked for 2 years before finding Labrie and almost broke up before they found him. Never underestimate what Jimbo's brought to the band.

Myles Kennedy.
He fucking blows.  Saw Alterbridge live and he can't even hit his own notes.  Was so disappointed and I'm not even a big Alterbridge fan to begin with.

I can't really fathom DT without James in the mix. I don't think they would keep going without him. If I absolutely had to pick one it would be Bruce Dickinson. He's the most incredible live singer I have ever had the honor of watching.

Actually.. I'm gonna go with Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage.. Somehow I stumbled across this video the other night and I think it sounds like Howard and it's not really all that bad.

Nils from Pagan's Mind wouldn't be so bad I think. Would be awesome having a fellow Norwegian in DT, although I'd never want to replace James. Bruce Dickinson and Russell Allen, would may fit as well. Or maybe Geddy Lee  ;D

Lowdz

I would want them to call it a day and do LTE fulltime, with the current DT line-up.
JLB is the voice of DT.

Mbarak

After hearing how good he sounded on ADTOE, it'd be a great loss for James leave
