This poll was posted in the Extreme forum a week ago. I'll restate what I said there:

This poll is stupid.

Yeah, but Bettencourt is pretty fast. Not even close to Batio, though.

It had nothing to do with Bettencourt being fast or not. It's just that

A) Fastest isn't really an opinion, if you are the fastest player then you are the fastest player.
B) Who cares how fast you play? Bettencourt is my favorite guitarist, yet Batio plays faster than him. That doesn't make me like Batio more, because I think Batio's songwriting sucks.

Les Paul is on the list?  I thought he was known more for country/western/folk stuff, musically, than being a fast guitar  player...
