Igor Stravinsky in Outcry instrumental section. In fact, I hear huge classical influences on every song on this album in the arrangements and structure. Anybody else hearing it?

BMU, BMD sounds like JLB's Elements of Persuation album, otherwise it is Dream Theater.

A lot more YES than might immediately be apparent in a lot of the songs. and a tiny bit of FLOYD here in BAI. Of course Octovarium was basically a Yes tribute album in my opinion. The Wakemanesque Solo on the title track was awesome.

BMUBMD reminds me a lot of JLB's solo work, particularly Elements of Persuasion. The post-chorus section reminds me a lot of Alice in Chains, mostly Them Bones.

Hell yeah, your sig. I remember that, I had been away from the forums for a while and this had been one of my first posts coming back at that time.


Anyway, nothing on here sounds like any other band but DT, to me.

the intro/outro riff of BITS sounds very symphony x
the ending of OTBOA sounds like circus maximus
both of these are good things

intro/verse of BMUBMD sounds like linkin park which is a bad thing, but the song is actually great, so much better than their previous two radio friendly second tracks
