forgive me if this has been brought up, but is the solo is BAI is very similar to Rush's "La Villa Strangiato?"

I think JP's tone in this song sounded a lot like Alex Lifeson, especially around the time when James first starts singing.  I'm not sure about the solo though, maybe a slight similarity in style.

TAC

I agree with the OP. I thought of La Villa Strangiato right away.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

"The song is extremely proggy, with a lot of keyboard breaks. As a guitarist, I had a great time on the section that's very La Villa Strangiato [by Rush]." - John Petrucci

Mosh

I noticed a similarity too. Especially the way it builds up. Also, and I'm not 100% certain on this, I think the time signature is 7/8 like the LVS solo.
