Ill be there!!¨

EDIT: Venue announced.
Valby Hallen has housed Slayer, Mastodon, KoRn, and many more hard rock names... and the sound use to be horrible... but i hope it wount be this evening !

Rob801

I guess that makes two of us then (three since I'm taking my son)   :)

Icebear

This venue is on fire, according to swedish news. Is it still standing?

Rob801

I was just going to post that... Still standing, but FUCK!!!!!, it still looks pretty serious. Not sure if it will be repaired by Jan. And I reserved a Hotel near by... Non refndable! I hope they play somewhere close by (or move it to Jyttland... then the money I loose on the Hotel would be save on the ferry trip.

Good think I didn't have tickets to the Sex convention that was being held there today  ;)

I wonder what will happen about this show now..

I live in Malmö but am studying 600 km north right now so I was really happy that it at least would be in KB Hallen where I actually know how to get from home in Malmö so I don't need to go to Stockholm fixing living place and such for me and my girlfriend...

Hopefully a reserve venue will be decided and that the gig will be played no matter what!
(Absolute best for me personally, and I know at least.. 6 more people is to move it to Malmö :D :p)

Anyways... I will.. hopefully.. show up now! Earlier it was a definite yes! Despite having no money since I am studying... but that will work out somehow....... :p

Jalis

Its totally burnt out... :(
Hope they will find another venue :-)

this link shows how the venue looks like this morning, thursday sep 29th.

Billetuglen has a message that they will come with more info as it is available... I'm sure it will stilll be in the Copenhagen area. My wishing it could be moved to Jylland is just that, wishful thinking. I wouldn't want that to happen at others expense ;).

That being said, I really wish they would play here on the mainland instead (or at least had a show in Northern Germany ie: Hamburg). It is prohibitively expensive to go to concerts in Copenhagen and we have some really great concert halls inand around Århus (Herning, Horsens, Ålborg).

Genesis, Lady Gaga, U2, Depeche Mode, OZZY :metal, Madonna, The Police, George Michael, Dio (RIP), Iron Maiden, Saxon... and I could go on and on and on, have all played the places above and drawn huge crowds (ok, Saxon didn't draw a huge crowd but they absolutely rocked! I was very positively surprised... would go see them again).

Rob801

I got lucky there... it's even closer to my hotel then KB Hallen was :tup. Now all we need is some more people in here... It's kind of quiet... But it's still a long time until Jan 27 so maybe things will pick up later.

Icebear

As soon as the wife and I have managed to raise the money for the tickets, I'll  gladly announce my participation. Right now it's 50/50...

Rob801

I haven't bought my tickets yet either. I'm waiting for my Box set to arrive on the very off chance that there's a ticket for life in it... I know the chances are small but it would suck to have just bought a ticket and end up being one of the lucky ones.

Anyway I don't think there's any rush. The chances that they sell out at 5000 seats are (unfortunately) pretty small.

I packing my suitcase as I speak ;D. I'll probably be one of the few people with a 12 year... it'll be my sons second concert.

Can't wait!

Don Carnage

So, it's 4 hours from now. Getting pretty excited now, since it's only the second time I'll see them live!

I sure hope the sound in that sports hall wont be too terrible to appreciate the great music.

Rob801

A couple hours to go  :metal

I just hope the number of people in this thread doesn't reflect how many will be there tonight  :-\

Rob801

Standing in line now... Looks like a good turnout  ;D

Rob801

Just got back to my room... What a f...ing incredible show! We got set B with "As I Am" as encore. The crowd was so pumped I thought we might even get two songs.

JLB was just smokin tonight. I have NEVER heard him sound so good. They were all just pumped and in a great mood and played their asses off. Looked to be an almost full capacity crowd.

For those wondering: The set list was the same as in Sweden, except they played As I Am as encore (instead of PMU). It was also a minor change in the order the songs were played in, but I can't remember the exact order :p

Great concert!  :metal Again.. 2 nights in a row for me :P

In comparison with the Oslo concert, I slightly preferred the one in Oslo, mainly due to somewhat better sound (could just be that I was standing closer to the mixing table in Oslo) and I also preferred the "A Set List". However, I thought the danish crowd was somewhat better. And I'm norwegian, so that's definitely not a biased opinion :P

Estiui

Still cannot believe that they've chosen AIA as an encore

scRa are the resultaten of sound nog bring propey

Rob801

I wanted A but really enjoyed TDEN more than I thought I would (a lot actually).

I was directly behind the sound board up in the bleachers (only way my son could have a chance to see at 1.5m tall) and the sound was really good IMO. MUCH better then I was expecting... but not with Periphery. With them all I could hear were drums and a wall of indistinguishable noise, which had me worried for a while til DT started and everything was clear for me.

I'm glad we got AIA since I was expecting PMU :). I also loved TWIMH and TTTSTA.

Mastervai

Fantastic show.

Jlb was the most amazing i've ever seen him (4 times since 2002 i think).

He really sang his heart out, and the crowd responce was amazing.

Set list was almost perfect, i would have liked something from octavarium or Black clouds instead of wdadu and sc. But the set actually worked great with a perfect mix of soft / hard / light / shade.

Good Night  :yarr

As I Am as encore? That's bad. Real bad.

Yeah  :sadpanda:

I always hated the song... yet it's just one song in a set, and does not ruin the whole show with its mere presence.

Actually, your grammar was better than some of those here with English as a first language.

My thoughts exactly. Wish we got that in the U.S instead of PMU.

As I Am is one of their best songs...better than PMU in my opinion. Why shouldn't they play it?

I don't agree with you, but anyways, the problem I see there is that AIA is not a song, IMO, for an encore.

Same here. Maybe A Fortune In Lies would fit better: surprising intro, climatic ending with a great solo. Just a bit short to close a concert, but it could make a quick and powerful ending, if we want to stick with the song that currently are in the setlist.

If not, well, some say you cannot leave the venue without Metropolis, right?  ::)

Definately a bonus for me to have AIA instead of PMU, hope its played at Wembley.

this. PMU is played nearly all the time, sometimes change is good :)
