From JLB's Wiki page...
"He is credited with being the first vocalist to use the "open throat poultry" technique, made famous in live versions of "Metropolis Pt.1" and "A Change Of Seasons"

Does anyone know what this means?

Adami

I think it's the Canadian version of the "tonsil loose turkey" technique.

A quick search in Google reveals that someone made up that phrase and added it to JLB's wiki page.  Was that someone you?

Phrase in the OP has so many potential jokes/puns that I wouldn't cross the road to get to other side with it
